Hi LOVEs! Happy Labor Day!!!!
I will try to make today's post short and sweet because it's a holiday! ;)

I wore this look a week ago when I was hanging out with my friend. I wanted to dress up because it was her birthday, but I only got to sleep for a few hours the day before since it was insanely busy!!! Even though I am a total heal-lover, I couldn't help going for a pair of comfortable shoes that day so that I could save some energy to have fun with her because I knew we were going out for some shopping! lol
Wearing black and white is always so chic and stylish. I used to not be quite in love with this combo. Personally, it felt too simple, yet I am a big fan now!!!! Maybe because I have a pink hair, which is such a great statement accessory especially for a pop of color, I realized that black and white ensembles are NOT simple after all! It's actually an ultimate killer go-to outfit!
For the look, I chose a maxi skirt with side slit styling it with a lace cropped top. These pieces definitely have feminine aspects, so even though I decided to wear low-heeled booties to finish the look, it doesn't look too casual and it is still appropriate for the meet-up with my birthday girl! If you are a short girl like myself, try to opt for boots/booties that are pointy! I know it's always challenging for the shorties to find the right boots, but the design gives you the trick of lean and lengthy legs! That said, I am so pleased to recently get my hands on these awesome booties from Qupid via Charlotte Russe where you can find an amazing selection of pointed ankle boots!!

What do you think about today's casual look? Hope you love it!
Have a lot of fun on your Labor Day! ♥

Hi LOVEs! Happy Fri-YAY!

I've been in love with these

Topshop

moto ripped jeans

ever since they were my own, and my fondness for them has never decreased. Not even tiny a bit. Plus, these are first in the rotation when it comes to making white-out looks. You can check how I styled them for other white-on-white looks both

HERE

&

HERE

.

I decided to go for another whiteout ensemble because I got

this extremely comfy crisp white t-shirt

also from

Topshop

! I knotted the shirt to show off my belly because it was quite hot, and it made a huge difference to expose some skin and feel the air. Even though it was totally working with just these jeans and tee, I added a denim shirt and tied it around the waist for a more elevated look! I am definitely so pleased with the way the outfit ended up. My #RainbowHair even contrasts well with

the denim shirt

, and it's fun to mix up a little color against the white palette while still clearly retaining the white-on-white look.

Speaking of my hairstyle, the 'topknot' is such a go-to hairdo at the moment, especially when I simply want to add a little something more! It's preppy and playful! And with

these

Polette

purple sunglasses

? My life is complete!!! I have to admit that today's look is absolutely one of my favorite summer looks!

Hope you are all having an amazing week so far and so ready to kick off a fun weekend!

Thank you so much for all the love and support!

Hi LOVEs! Happy Tuesday!

I can't believe that summer will soon come to the end, and we are welcoming a new season!

In a few more days, September will be here. Do you know what that means? New York Fashion Week and other cities' other crazy fashion weeks are starting everywhere! Unfortunately, this is another year that yet again I won't be able to attend, and it totally sucks to say "No, I am not going" when my blogger babes asked me if I will be there... :(

But I am so looking forward to seeing all the oh-so fashionable street style photos and my friends’ updates freshly from NYFW to get inspired and to enjoy it virtually. While I am in Seattle I always create some NYFW inspired looks because that's how I can at least feel the vibe! Plus, even if you are not going to Fashion Week, that shouldn't stop you from dressing up as if you were there, right? Therefore, today's look is all about what I would rocking during NYFW!

I finally grabbed

a nude pair of trousers

, and they are one of my staple pieces now! They are super easy to style with everything and a perfect item to elevate a look to very chic and sophisticated. I decided to go with a

striped cropped top

because you can never go wrong with stripes as they instantly add a touch of refinement. The top is actually NOT designed as an off-the-shoulder look, but I styled it that way to add more a flattering effect! I wanted to play with some color to add boldness to this look, and topping it off with reds was totally the right decision!! Not just one color, it's double! I purposely matched my

new lovely red sandals

with my red bucket bag! I really like how this same color matching combo completed the entire look!

Who's going to NYFW and how would you dress up ?

Have a sweet and productive day, lovelies! ♥

Hi LOVEs!!!! Happy Thursday!
Have you encountered a moment that your look is actually not bad AT ALL nonetheless it was put together super at last second? Well today's look is exactly how I ended up! It's so funny that sometimes these looks turn better than the ones you put some effort or take more time.
I got a lovely chiffon cardigan from Newdress and I am totally in love with this rusty pink tone with sleeky texture. It's so perfect for a transitional piece or for a protection from the harsh sunlight. I centered this piece and I decided to go with a vintage top and my favorite ripped knee jeans which was the first things I saw in my closet when I was rushing dressing up! Then topped it off with ultimate summer shoes: a black strappy sandals!
Even if my hair is now a definite element of 'a pop of color,' I love adding a little something extra to a look. That's why I am happy to get my hands on this yellow mini cross-body bag also from Newdress! Isn't it just right amount of playfulness?
I said, this was a last-minute outfit. Then, why is my jewelry game on point? Here is why: I always carry a little pouch that I store my jewelry like rings (adore this set at Boohoo & Urban Outfitters) and bracelets in my bag for an occasion just like this because I believe a little something bling and fun makes a look a lot different, and can even spice up your look! Oh and definitely a few pair of Sunglasses! These are musts wherever you go, and my new Free People sunnies are having a moment right now!

Hope you are having a productive day, dolls!

Hi LOVEs!
I've mentioned before that having crazy colored hair has made me wear single-toned looks more often than ever. My affection for these styles is getting bigger and bigger because they are just so easy to rock. It's so great that you don't need to spend much effort and time coordinating the whole look, or thinking of wether or not each piece goes well together. With that being said, here is the all-gray look that I am currently into. I don't have many grey clothes, but luckily I have this side slit maxi skirt and grey sweater to make the style. During my DC trip, I scored this super comfy and soft V-neck sweater! Though we still have to beat the summer heat, Seattle weather is sometimes unpredictable so this sweater keeps me warm on those chill days, especially when it rains. And its loose fit is just everything!

I decided to pair these sandals with mesh details for a pop of sporty vibe and to add some playfulness into this all-grey look! It was a little humid, so I simply took advantage of it to put my hair in a side high ponytail. I am happy I styled it this way because it gives a breezy mood.

I really want to try one tone looks with some fun colors rather than black, white, and grey this fall and winter! Burgundy, yellow, orange, and khaki... The options are endless! Wouldn't it be fun to make a contrast with my mermaid hair? Which color should I try first?

Have a lovely Sunday, darlings!

Hi LOVEs!!!
Happy Sunday! Even though I wore this look on a Monday a few weeks ago,  it's safe to say that this can be a perfect 'Sunday Funday' look. Do you agree? This dress is so pretty it makes me want to twirl around! It puts a smile on my face!

I'd been looking for a fab floral printed dress that I can wear from day to night. This number is definitely the one I'd had in my mind for decades. Though it has slinky silhouette, its texture is extremely comfortable so it doesn't give you that "body-hugging" feeling. Needless to say, the print is just adorable! I threw on a faux suede jacket on over it ( By the way, this is my current obsession! Been wearing it like crazy!) to tone it down for a "day" look. Before I got my hands on this suede jacket, I used to put on a biker jacket. However, now I am more in love with the combo of a dress and a suede jacket! If you haven't snagged one yet, well I highly recommend you do! I selected some of my faves including mine down below ;) Right now it's the best substitute outerwear right now for whatever jacket you already tired of!

The day I wore this outfit, I went to Robert Leonard Salon and Day Spa to be a hair model for Avant Garde up-do styling class. My stylist decided to do this fluffy side-down up-to hair. I couldn't be more pleased with how the hair topped off the whole look!

What would you wear for your Sunday Funday?
Lots of weekend love!

Hi LOVEs!
I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! I watched WICKED for the first time in my life, and it was AH-MAZING! Emma Hunton completely blew me away with her amazing talent for acting and her voice from the beginning to the end! I am so pleased to finally have have a chance to watch it, though I wish my english was good enough to understand the whole story ( I still need a subtitle!!!! :p)!!! I definitely wanna watch it again - with a closer seat please!

I hope that you guys have enjoyed a ton of time at the beach this summer and you get to continue with that plan. With that said, I am excited to share a lovely versatile tote bag a.k.a a fun beach bag from Qtee.com today! If you have a perfect beach bag already, that's awesome! But if you haven't gotten your hands on one yet, there you go! So stoked to have this Polynesian Parrot printed bag for my perfect beach bag! The print is super summery and it's absolutely big enough to carry around your beach necessities. Of course you can use it as a daily second bag or for weekend/holiday activities! I especially love this bag because parrot print matches my mermaid hair thanks tothe ability to customize your bag however you want to!

Did you notice that the parrot head is purple and its tail is pink just like my hair? I also customized the hue of its body, flowers and leaves to beautifully blend in with the parrot.
Even though I picked the Polynesian Parrot print, they carry more than 200 design you can choose from! How would you customize yours?

On a personal note, I am going to retouch my color later today at Foxycut Salon, so stay tuned for a new color on my Instagram & snapchat (@fashionistaika) No more black roots and can't wait to revive my mermaid hair!

Wishing you a great day to kick off a new week!

Hi LOVEs! Happy Sunday!!
This is another look ft. my new favorite brand, Fly Nation. I hope you liked the previous look in their killer black swimsuit! I really adore their simple yet chic and edgy/street style that you can rock on daily basis.  I think this gray t-shirt dress really shows that off. It was really hard for me to pick what I want for this collaboration, but I am so glad to get my hands on this LGD. To be honest with you, I didn't have any dress in gray, and this number is perfect due to its comfiness. It's is simply so flattering. Normally a t-shirt dress is considerably toned down, but its side slit design not only makes a look so fly, but it elongates your legs as well. Heck yes! This "far from basic" t-shirt is definitely an everyday essential for every girl's closet.

Since the dress is simple, I edged it up by adding a bunch of gold jewelry and a pop of red on my lips. I styled it with a baseball cap and a fringe bag for a sporty effect. Then, I paired it with a platform sandals, but you can swap them for your favorite kicks for a more casual look OR to strappy heels for a night out!
A lot of sweet weekend hugs! xoxo

Hi LOVEs!
Lately, the temperature has dropped in Seattle, and I have no idea why. It feels like we are in a fall mood already. It's kinda good, though, to have a chilly weather. Yet I definitely miss the bright sunshine and hot summer days! I hope that the warm weather will come back soon because I haven't checked off everything on my summer to-do list yet!

Because we have these summer chilly days, it's perfect to share a casual look that I haven't had a chance to show you guys! Did you remember when I styled this crop top and these high waisted jeans in a more chic way a while ago? (You can CHECK it here!) I decided to wear them differently to give some idea of how you can maximize your wardrobe by just switching up the items you already have in your closet!

Instead of a denim jacket, I threw on a long, lose-fit carding and changed the heels to flat oxford shoes.  I added a backpack for the one of the ultimate must have items when dressing down. I love wearing fake glasses as an alternative to a pair of sunnies because it is a fun way to spice up your casual look! Because I can't live without heels, ( crazy sky-high ones of course!) I don't wear casual outfits that often, but I do love this ensemble! I feel like I have to push myself more to rock the style! What do you think guys? Yay or Nay?

Stay strong! It's almost FriYAY! Have a productive day, cuties! ♥

Hi LOVEs!!!
Hope you had a wonderful weekend! I went to Bite of Seattle with my Japanese bestie on Saturday, and I had a lot of fun enjoying the festival even though I didn't get to try out what I wanted to. Have you guys been to? Then I ended my Saturday watching the new Terminator: Genisys and Oh EM GEE! I LOVED IT! I was such a big fan of the series from my childhood and I can't wait to see the rest of them! I totally recommend to watch it before it's gone!

I am starting off this week with another swimwear look that I am more than excited to share with you guys!! Unlike the bikini from the previous post, this one from Fly Nation is much more sleek, sophisticated, and matured. Black bikinis are always on point, but this one with the string design around the chest and side hips is what makes a head-turner piece! You know I am all about details! Then, I styled it with a dramatic drapy cover up which is also from Fly Nation. I seriously can't get over its beauty, and my eyes become heart shaped when the wind blows as the cover up breathtakingly flows in the air! My new photographer friend Sarah did such an amazing job capturing the moments, and we are so stoked about how the images turned out! They look like editorial-looking bikini shots!

Fly Nation is currently offering a BIG sale and you can get pretty bikinis like mine only at $20! Don't miss out this awesome deal and let's get the bikini party started this weekend!! ♥

#SummerFridays, Beach Day | boohoo swimwear

It's Friday! Let's celebrate, let's have some fun!

Photographed by James Chrosniak  //  Alki Beach

Everything: c/o boohoo.com ( BIKINI, TOP, HAT, NECKLACE )

Hi LOVEs! Happy FriYay!
Whenever your favorite brand reaches out to you for some collaboration, you just can't believe it and you feel as if you were still in the dream or something. Well that happened to me when boohoo emailed me regarding this awesome campaign "Celebrating #SummerFridays"!!!!!

#SummerFridays is an extension from their new #WeAreUSA campaign which is about celebrating the unique personalities that are expressed through fashion, and embracing the differences in everyone’s individual style and identity. We Are Now, We Are Bold, We Are Fit, We Are Free – We Are USA. We are boohoo!
I looooooove the concept of this campaign since I am all about being unique through my style.

I wasn't quite aware that many companies in the USA offer employees the option of finishing work early on a Friday. How cool is that? Japan has to start providing this awesome system to employees! haha So based on this, I was asked to share how I spend my Summer Fridays/weekends doing. Can you guess what it is? Well here you go!

"My Summer Fridays list is actually blowing up with some new things I want to try this summer! Standup paddle surfing, rock hopping, go camping for a breathtaking star gazing, and a weekend mini road trip with my besties! Also, I am so excited to make plants to visit “Wide Waves” as I have not been there in a lounge time, maybe since my teenage years! I will definitely rock BooHoo bikini there!"

For this campaign, I chose a super summery jungle print bikini and double horn necklace. I like rocking a bikini with some accessories to glam up and play with! Whenever you wear a swimsuit, you need to have a cover up 1) you can protect your skin from a longer exposure to the sun and 2) you can camouflage any not-quite-bikini-ready areas. That's why I picked a crochet lace top for my perfect cover up, but then I can also wear this top for the daily basis. You probably know by now that I am such a hat person, and this oversized straw floppy hat is so perfect for a beach attire. I love soaking up in the sun, but gotta protect my mermaid hair from it. I am glad with how the hat contrasts with my hair and gives more chic vibe to a jungle print bikini!
boohoo has an amazing selection of cute, gorgoues, killer, fun swimsuits with such an affordable price, so make sure to check them out because summer is not over YET!

Hope you like what I chose to enjoy my Summer Fridays!
How would you guys spend? Have a lovely weekend, cutie pies!

Seventies In DC

My 70's obsession continues in this trench dress.

Photographed by Teban S. of Asian Impressions  //  Washington DC

DRESS: c/o Elizabeth Roberts  |  SHOES: JustFab  (Similar HERE & HERE)  |  BAG: From Japan (Similar HERE & HERE)  |  BELT: Thrifted (Similar HERE & HERE)  |  SUNNIES: ASOS  |  NECKLACE: c/o Isharya
_________

Hi LOVEs!!!
Remember when I wore a trench vest a few posts back a few posts back during my trip to DC, and told you that it was actually designed for a belted trench dress? So today, I am sharing the dress look that I wore as the dress as promised!

Personally, I like to wear it as a trench vest, but I can't get over how cute and chic it is as a dress as well. It's a bit of big on me so I decided to put a wide belt instead of the attached one, in order to be able to tuck up for the length adjustment. As I was styling this look with the belt, it turned out to be an amazing 70's inspired look. So I added bold cat eye sunnies and a quilted clutch to emphasize the vibe more. I finished off by pairing floral print sandals for a stunning eye-candy effect.  It was really humid in DC, so doing a ponytail hair is a perfect way to beat the weather while it actually elevated the look to be more dolly!
During my DC trip, I've been wearing this gorgeous 18k gold pendant necklace from Isharya. I love how it gives a great amount of glam to my look!

Behind the coordinating of this look, I was using a closet organizer app called Stuff N Style, which is an app that helps women put together outfits with pieces that they already have in their closet. You know you have a moment an "Omg! I have nothing to wear (with a full of clothes in your closet)" moment? Well, this app makes it easier to visualize what you have and help you organize your closet digitally on your phone, never missing a piece because you forget you have them!
I was introduced to this app a while ago, and I was amazed by how handy it is,  especially for travel when you have a limited quantity of clothes you can bring. I will make a separate post that features this app soon! Meanwhile, you can download it from HERE if you are interested in trying it out!

Happy hump day, dolls!
