Hi LOVEs! Happy Tuesday!

I can't believe that summer will soon come to the end, and we are welcoming a new season!

In a few more days, September will be here. Do you know what that means? New York Fashion Week and other cities' other crazy fashion weeks are starting everywhere! Unfortunately, this is another year that yet again I won't be able to attend, and it totally sucks to say "No, I am not going" when my blogger babes asked me if I will be there... :(

But I am so looking forward to seeing all the oh-so fashionable street style photos and my friends’ updates freshly from NYFW to get inspired and to enjoy it virtually. While I am in Seattle I always create some NYFW inspired looks because that's how I can at least feel the vibe! Plus, even if you are not going to Fashion Week, that shouldn't stop you from dressing up as if you were there, right? Therefore, today's look is all about what I would rocking during NYFW!

I finally grabbed

a nude pair of trousers

, and they are one of my staple pieces now! They are super easy to style with everything and a perfect item to elevate a look to very chic and sophisticated. I decided to go with a

striped cropped top

because you can never go wrong with stripes as they instantly add a touch of refinement. The top is actually NOT designed as an off-the-shoulder look, but I styled it that way to add more a flattering effect! I wanted to play with some color to add boldness to this look, and topping it off with reds was totally the right decision!! Not just one color, it's double! I purposely matched my

new lovely red sandals

with my red bucket bag! I really like how this same color matching combo completed the entire look!

Who's going to NYFW and how would you dress up ?

Have a sweet and productive day, lovelies! ♥

Hi LOVEs!
I really appreciate the super lovely weather. It looks like it's already summer, which I love so much! As the temperature gets higher, I get to enjoy wearing more dresses because; 1) it's super comfy and 2) effortless to add a feminine touch. This blue striped casual dress is definitely a fun piece, but I thought it would be cuter if I spiced it up a little bit. So I paired it with a chambray shirt as a jacket, a boater hat for a spring/summer vibe. This hat has been my go-to hat every spring and summer. I still love wearing fedoras and floppy hats, but boater hats seem more like seasonally appropriate pieces that you can easily create a summer-perfect look with. I decided to go for black platform sandals so that the stripe print pops more.

Speaking of the location where I shot this look... I came to Discovery Park and it's absolutely one of my favorite places in Seattle. It's breathtakingly beautiful and there is lots of green. The air is so refreshing which relaxes me so much!! I was there for about an hour, but you have no idea how much I felt revived! I wanna come back again for a weekend picnic or just enjoy the view, forgetting all about social media! :P

Happy Friday dolls!

Hi LOVEs!!!! Happy Monday!!!
I wore this outfit a few weekends ago, and you have no idea how much I love this fun look! Navy is definitely one of my favorite colors to wear during this season! Lighter than black and a smattering of color that makes a look cheer.  I've been in love with this navy military cap and stripe turtle neck ever since I've owned, so I styled them together. I really adore how the outfit turned out effortlessly chic. Paring a turtleneck with denim shorts and over-the-knee boots are such an easy yet cozy combination! Oh don't forget to put on tights for extra warmth! Wearing a biker jacket adds a great amount of an edgy touch. I could wear this ensemble for any kind of occasion; a brunch date, a quick coffee meet with a friend, movie night, or even just running errands! It could be a perfect date style as well, if you switch the denim shorts into a skirt! Absolutely my everyday go-to look! And when your nails match with whatever you wear, that's even more fabulous!

If you are a huge fun of wearing turtleneck right now just like myself, try "the Hair Tuck" trend! I have always had a desire to have a short/medium bob hairstyle, but at the same time I don't want to courageously chop off my long hair! So this "even doesn't take 10 seconds to achieve" tucked hairstyle option is the most easiest and chicest way I've been trying for a while now!

Here is how to:
Purposely leave the hair in the collar or tuck the mid-lengths and end of your hair into the necklines of your clothes, and then style however you want. Like pulling your hair behind an ear or put a hat on.

Look how easy it is! This hair style can apply to anything with collars: sweaters, coats, shirts, and even with scarves! The perfect stylish on-trend hair with minimal efforts!

Xmas is within 3 days, guys! I know everyone is so thrilled like a little kid, and I hope you saw a lot of your names on the presents under the tree! On the next few post, I will be posting holiday inspired looks ft. Tobi dresses to give you some inspirations of what to wear holiday parties and on NYE, so stay tuned!

Let's kick off the new week with a lot of smiles! :)

 Hi LOVEs!!!
I hope that you had an amazing weekend! It's about time to ready for the next weekend. Only a few left this summer -- make them count! For some time now, I've longed to work again with one of my beloved friends and most talented photographers I know in Seattle, Eric. He had been taking a break from pressing the shutters, (Yes, I'd been very sad...) but he recently decided to get back on in the saddle and resume photography! The moment he responded to my request for a photoshoot with a 'Yes, let's do it', I was so excited! As always, I had a lot of pleasurable moments shooting with him. So glad to create some magic with him again!

As a perfect backdrop for this outfit, he took me to one of the popular spots in Seattle known for capturing the Seattle's spectacular views. When we got there, we were right on time to come across a beautiful sunset. I was literally speechless for a little while....

I think the last time I wore these jeans was like a decade ago. Yeah... it's summer, it's better to wear shorts or sundress to keep it cool, and I totally agree with that. But you know it's always fun to change the things up, right? (Of course in a good way!) I really like this summer look with these skinny jeans! Since they are low-rise, it makes the top look like a crop top, showing a little bit of skin around my tummy, and letting in a bit of a breeze.  I also hadn't worn these beautiful pumps for a long time, and they always make me incredibly happy. I can't just get enough of shoes that give a plenty amount of height yet are very comfortable to walk around!
Because the top is blue stripes, I styled it up with a gorgeous "Deep Blue Sea" necklace! I am very fascinated that a single statement necklace can instantly add such an impact to an outfit. If you live in the Seattle area, I highly recommend checking out Bad Kitty Accessories in Southcenter Mall. They are a very new jewelry store, but they carry a vast selection of wonderful pieces that surely add that WOW to your look. As a case in point, my necklace is from Bad Kitty Accessories and you can't deny its effect! <3

To speak a little bit about a hairstyle, the 'pompadour ponytail' is an easy yet versatile hairstyle for summer. It makes a simple ponytail look dressed-up, is flattering to most face shapes, and most amazingly, helps you avoid the heat around your neck while looking elegant! If you are tired of your everyday ponytail and are looking for a little twist, it is also a perfect updo that is not too complicated!!

I hope you enjoyed how I wore jeans in this summer look!
Have a lovely Tuesday

Hi LOVEs! Happy Friday <3

How's your week been going? :) Today, we have gloomy and cold weather in Seattle. Sad, right? How about in your area? If the weather is sunny unlike here, I am so jealous, but if it is just as bad as here, I hope I can bring some brightness from today's post!

If you follow my blog and my Insta (@aikaslovecloset, if not please follow me for the daily updates!), you may remember that I hosted a trunk show at SEE Eyewear in Downtown about a month ago. It was very fun and I was very happy it was successful, considering it was my first EVER event! So I decided to treat myself a little bit and went for shopping with one of my besties! On our last destination, we stopped by ZARA, and we hunted a few great pieces, which I am wearing on today's post! He found these gorgeous and super fashion-forward matching set (get yours! TOP & SKIRT) while I was trying others on. He has a quite good eye, doesn't he? :)
It didn't take even a few second to fall in love with them! My love of matching sets is definitely growing, and they are just so fa-bu-lous!!!!! The crisp and fresh color of blue and white totally wowed me, and they're STRIPES! The print is so playful and never goes out of fashion! What I love the most about these pieces is how the top is simple in front but the back has an interesting yet lovely look because of the zip and twin folds. On top of that, the skirt blew me away with the overlaid design, having a different style in front and back! What a fun matching set! They of course will look good separately in other looks! I can't wait to try them in a different ensemble!

I styled them with white pointy heels to keep with the same hues and to add extra crispness. The colors blue and white represent the wide blue sky, unfurled white sails, and the azure sea, and I already have a breathtaking statement necklace that rides the oceanic theme. Then, I like the earrings give a touch of antique-look.
At the first attempt assembling this look, I paired with a black bag. However, we have to change ourselves to ditch a dark color and incorporate more brighter shades into our outfits! I decided to switch the black bag to the two-tone bag with a vivid green! Challenge succeeded! :)

Do you like these lovely striped matching set as much as I do? How would you style them?
I hope your Friday finishes amazingly and launches you into a fabulous weekend!

SCHAI Launch Party at Roche Bobois

_____________________________

 Hi LOVEs!
If you follow me on my Instagram, you saw the post that I spent some fun and networking time at a SCHAI  launch party/ Fall-Winter Collection 2014 event last Friday at Roche Bobois, hosted by Seattle Metropolitan Magazine.

SCHAI (pronounced 'shay') and the designer, Suk Chai  who is based in Bellevue and had fifteen years experience in local design field presented her amazing first-ever collection. Before I went to the party, I checked her collection online, and it didn't take long to fall in love with her pieces and design. Personally, I am usually not very fond of simple designs. Yet I had the impression that her designs ,though simple, are inspired by the nuance and form of great architecture. In addition, it's very practical and innovative. For instance, the jacket fur collar is replaceable so that you can wear it with a different garment, and Suk said eventually it will have a pocket to store a cell phone or necessities.  How awesome is that? The fabrics are definitely breathtaking, and I really love how a piece touches the skin and fits the body. Her line is surely something that makes you look outstanding and upgrades your wardrobe just like those high-end designers like Alexander Wang and Jason Wu. I was also fascinated by the mix of textures she uses: leather, silk, wool, pony hair, and cashmere. My favorite pieces of her collection at the party were the Nude Pink Coat and Fur Collar Scarf.  Check out more of her collection HERE or social medias below.

SCHAI WEBPAGE  |  FACEBOOK |  INSTAGRAM | TWITTER | TUMBLER | VIMEO

The place she chose to present her new collection is just WOW. Roche Bobois is an wonderful furniture store from Paris, and I couldn't get enough of all the inspiring, distinguished, colorful, modern, and fabulous furniture there.  I wanna go back again and take a time to take a look at each item.

I was very pleased to be there to see her collection in person because I know soon or later, it will be going global! I wish the new start of her designer's journey good luck and for many people to fall in love with her collection...

Lastly... here is what I wore at the party! Thank you for the photos, Jason!

Hi LOVEs!!!!
I am sure that you ALL know that the Seattle Seahawks became the world champion in football!!! How awesome is that?!?! I am originally from Japan, but I love Seattle! I am totally proud of my city's team!!!! Last Wednesday, after about 700,000 people gathered in Downtown Seattle to cerebrate the Seahawks' amazing win on Sunday. The street was completely packed with the 12th Man. Unfortunately, I had to work that day so I couldn't go see the actual parade.... However, I thought I should show some love by wearing the Seahawks' BLUE colors! :)

If you know a bit about me, you may have noticed that I am completely obsessed with BLUE lately. This striped turtle neck and accompanying puffer coat are a couple of the new pieces I've received from NOWiSTYLE. This coat not only looks really warm -- it really IS! Its design is superb, especially the way the collar/hood cradles my neck. It is unexpectedly wonderful. It flames my face and keeps my neck really snug. It offers a drawstring high on the waist that can be pulled in to lengthen the appearance of my legs by shortening the torso! I always love the trick of creating an illusion to make my legs magically look longer! Turtle necks are a must-have item this winter, and there is so many ways to rock it! Thought it is a turtle neck dress, it can be transformed into a top, as well.

Ever since wearing a pair of sneakers with a fashionable outfit has become a trend, I have wanted to try it out. Still, I am crazy about heels and appreciate the extra height they add, so sneakers never seemed to make it into one of my outfits. BUT, look how I managed to pair them with today's ensemble! The pink neon color of the shoelaces harmonizes with the outfit, and I really like how they helped my casual sporty look keep just right amount of femininity!
I topped off this look with some silver accessories, hologram bag and put on BLUE mirrored sunglasses to add a sporty vibe a bit more.

Valentine's day is now less than a week away. Do you all have a SWEET plan to celebrate it with your beloved one?
I created two Valentine's inspired outfits for you so please stay tuned for the posts coming up next week!

Happy weekend! :)

Hi LOVEs!

If you live in a comparatively cold area, what kind of outfit could you choose that keeps you warm and snug while still being stylist? One of the outfit options could be to throw on a turtleneck. Don't you agree?

You see, turtlenecks definitely offer plenty of great styling opportunities -- they work when simply layering, they can be your featured statement piece, they can be paired with some head-tuner accessories, etc.... Now that's a flexible yet stylish piece of clothing!

I personally was not a big fan of the turtleneck, but I noted that they are currently one of the big hits this season. So I decided to try one out and incorporate it into an outfit. Guess what? I have been converted! Especially when the turtleneck is as fabulous as this oversized stripe knit is! I like the grey and blue combo, which is a pretty rare combination to me! This knit is actually REALLY oversized for me, so I tied it up around my waist with a beaded belt to make it a bit more fitting. Since I wanted to go for a playful yet intellectual look, I styled it up with a pair of fake glasses (my favorite one, btw!) and a bun. I couldn't resist adding a sense of edginess by wearing

these killer studded boots from

JustFab.com

! This knit itself is quite warm. However, I finished the look with a patterned scarf so that I could be extra cozy :)

How will you be wearing turtlenecks this season?

I hope you like my turtleneck ensemble and stay tuned for other looks featuring turtlenecks!

Enjoy your day

SILVER LEAF EARRINGS & OFF-GOLD PUMPS: ALDO
ROUNDED RING: Charlotte Russe
INITIAL WATCH: Nordstrom
BLACK MISS BROOKS SUNGLASSES (Also available in PEACH & GREEN): Free People (HERE)

Hi lovely readers!
I hope you guys have enjoyed the last two striped shirt looks showcased on my blog previously! Today's is the last one in the series, and it is still hard for me to chose which look is my favorite... Can you? lol
Well, there is definitely one thing I can confidently say, though:
"Striped items are very fun to style up and super trendy.
On top of that, they make absolutely versatile piece as well!!!"

This time around, I tried to achieve a modern 90's formal look. I paired the shirt up with a neon sky-blue tulip skirt because you need a dash of conspicuous color to pull off a 90's vibe. Then, I tucked the shirt in so that it adds that air of sophistication. To enhance the look further, I mixed up with some ankle socks (Actually these socks are knee-length, but I pushed them down to the ankle.) and wore a pair of refined off-gold pumps.
If you have rounded sunglasses, simply put them on to make a easy 90's or retro look! You see from the photos that when I am wearing my BLACK MISS BROOKS SUNGLASSES from Free People, it totally completes my 90's outfit. Don't you agree?
When it came to styling my hair, I slightly curled it (including my bangs) and brought it to the side. Then I covered the hair tie by winding with a small bundle of my hair around it.

I completely DIG these sunglasses because I looooooooooove over-sized sunnies. There are so many varieties in Japan, but not so many in here in Seattle unfortunately... The roundness of these sunglasses really complements my face since I consider myself to have a pretty large face, and they really help my face to appear smaller (which is very important to me!) I also think that hese types of sunglasses can fit any type of faces, so I should say these are a MUST-HAVE!

Hopefully, you've enjoyed ALL three striped shirt looks (The first look HERE & the second look HERE), and please comment below to tell me which one of the 3 is your favorite! :)
