Fall Uniform: Turtle Neck & Trench Vest

When you feel that your outfit needs a little “spice-up” but a coat is a bit too warm, trench vests are one of the perfect transitional pieces to elevate your basic outfit. Not to mention, a trench vest is such a perfect chemistry with turtlenecks!

Seventies In DC

My 70's obsession continues in this trench dress.

Hi LOVEs!!!
Remember when I wore a trench vest a few posts back a few posts back during my trip to DC, and told you that it was actually designed for a belted trench dress? So today, I am sharing the dress look that I wore as the dress as promised!

Personally, I like to wear it as a trench vest, but I can't get over how cute and chic it is as a dress as well. It's a bit of big on me so I decided to put a wide belt instead of the attached one, in order to be able to tuck up for the length adjustment. As I was styling this look with the belt, it turned out to be an amazing 70's inspired look. So I added bold cat eye sunnies and a quilted clutch to emphasize the vibe more. I finished off by pairing floral print sandals for a stunning eye-candy effect.  It was really humid in DC, so doing a ponytail hair is a perfect way to beat the weather while it actually elevated the look to be more dolly!
During my DC trip, I've been wearing this gorgeous 18k gold pendant necklace from Isharya. I love how it gives a great amount of glam to my look!

Behind the coordinating of this look, I was using a closet organizer app called Stuff N Style, which is an app that helps women put together outfits with pieces that they already have in their closet. You know you have a moment an "Omg! I have nothing to wear (with a full of clothes in your closet)" moment? Well, this app makes it easier to visualize what you have and help you organize your closet digitally on your phone, never missing a piece because you forget you have them!
I was introduced to this app a while ago, and I was amazed by how handy it is,  especially for travel when you have a limited quantity of clothes you can bring. I will make a separate post that features this app soon! Meanwhile, you can download it from HERE if you are interested in trying it out!

Happy hump day, dolls!

Hi LOVEs! I hope you all had a lovely and safe July 4th weekend!!!!
I was introduced to a local amazing designer Elizabeth and her own line Elizabeth Roberts right before my DC trip. I was so pleased to pick up this gorgeous trench vest on their first Annual Warehouse Sale. But let me say first. It's actually designed for a belted long vest dress. I'd been dying to get my hands on a stunning trench vest as well as a sleeveless jacket and hers is just perfect. I realized that wearing it as a vest is more flattering to me, but of course I will share with you what it looks as a dress soon on here. Without no doubt, I had to bring it with me to rock while enjoying my trip!!!

Elizabeth thrives on kinetic energy and perpetual motion informing her life and design, and I really embrace her cutting edge of both fashion and technology. All of her jackets has a SMARTSHIELD pocket feature designed to protect wearers from the invisible but real dangers of electromagnetic frequencies and microwaves emitted when carrying cellular phones. Her collection offers very functional and flattering designs that reflect refined luxury. It's sleek and subtle with a feminine touch.

I wore this look on day 3 in DC and wanted as comfortable as possible for roaming the city and sightseeing. I combined a silky cami and denim shorts. Then added a pair of fringe sandals for a pop of color and a little fun effect (Don't worry, I switched them into flats when sightseeing began!) I like how they match with my hair color! When it's hot and humid, you don't wanna layer your clothes. But this trench vest is super light weight and breathable, so it helps you mange being chic on a hot day! Yesterday I put it on with a cropped top and midi skirt to tone down. To my surprise, it goes with any look! I accessorized my newest gold necklace (18K) from Isharya, and I am so in love with this double dainty chains and lovely disc with cz. Perfect by itself yet layering with other dainty necklaces could be also wondeful!

I can't wait to show you the dress version of this piece! Meanwhile, check out her design!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Let's kick off a great start of the week, cuties! ♥
