Hi LOVEs! Happy Labor Day!!!!
I will try to make today's post short and sweet because it's a holiday! ;)

I wore this look a week ago when I was hanging out with my friend. I wanted to dress up because it was her birthday, but I only got to sleep for a few hours the day before since it was insanely busy!!! Even though I am a total heal-lover, I couldn't help going for a pair of comfortable shoes that day so that I could save some energy to have fun with her because I knew we were going out for some shopping! lol
Wearing black and white is always so chic and stylish. I used to not be quite in love with this combo. Personally, it felt too simple, yet I am a big fan now!!!! Maybe because I have a pink hair, which is such a great statement accessory especially for a pop of color, I realized that black and white ensembles are NOT simple after all! It's actually an ultimate killer go-to outfit!
For the look, I chose a maxi skirt with side slit styling it with a lace cropped top. These pieces definitely have feminine aspects, so even though I decided to wear low-heeled booties to finish the look, it doesn't look too casual and it is still appropriate for the meet-up with my birthday girl! If you are a short girl like myself, try to opt for boots/booties that are pointy! I know it's always challenging for the shorties to find the right boots, but the design gives you the trick of lean and lengthy legs! That said, I am so pleased to recently get my hands on these awesome booties from Qupid via Charlotte Russe where you can find an amazing selection of pointed ankle boots!!

What do you think about today's casual look? Hope you love it!
Have a lot of fun on your Labor Day! ♥

How was your weekend? I really hope that you have started off this new week amazingly! If you follow me on social media, you have probably saw that I felt very ill yesterday when I woke up, and it was totally unexpected. In general, I am a very optimistic, cheerful, and positive person. I believe that my most charming characteristic is a BIG SMILE! (I hope you agree with me <3 ) Yet, sometimes it is just really hard to stay positive and to believe in myself. Concerns eat away at me - I haven been single for almost three years now, my whole family lives a million miles away, and even though I have amazing friends here, I still have days when I feel a deep loneliness. The reality is that my parents are not 100% supportive of me pursing my fashion dream in America. I know, it's kinda sad, right? I frequently wish for them to be more supportive of what I am passionate about. My parents' happiness is my happiness. Of course I wanna make them happy. But my decision to go for my dream has resulted in making them very unhappy. As such, I then feel that I am such a bad daughter because I choose my dream over my parents happiness... At one point, I made my parents cry... That's one of the worst moments in my life.

Then, yesterday I fell apart completely, and naturally I burst into tears due to my deep feelings of hopelessness, loneliness, and the extreme struggles that I have to go through as a foreigner. Even though I am happy to finally be able to stand on my feet and pursue my dream after such hard decisions, I have been struggling with not being able to share and talk about these struggles with my beloved family. This cycle of success followed by regret constantly torments me.

Nonetheless, I realized yesterday that I have a lot of friends, my fans and followers who sincerely care about me and even believe in me more that I do. Receiving heartfelt comments, snaps, and messages really brightened up my worst moment and saved from deep devastation. They are all so sweet, and I felt very loved and sensed a great amount of compassion. It made me feel so much better, and I was able to have a good cry. I actually thought that I should not share my negativity on social media because I knew I might end up giving people an unfavorable moment. However, some of them shared their stories of how they had been in the same shoes and of their struggles. One of my friends came over and gave me tight hugs, and then took me out for dinner and coffee. On the way home, we saw the most beautiful rainbow that I have ever seen! Seeing such a rainbow was as if the universe was telling me: "don't lose hope; you will be fine!" It was a breathtaking moment.

Although I don't have a boyfriend or family close to me, I couldn't be happier and more appreciative to have those people in my life, especially on my blogging journey. I really wanted to thank all of them including YOU who come to read my blog, leave comments and support me with lots of love!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS! I seriously can't thank you enough!

Life isn't only about happy things and isn't always smooth and pleasant. It may not go however you are wishing it to. Some of you may be struggling or suffering over tons of stuff more than your surroundings. Then you may have to confront countless obstacles that easily put you down. However struggling with problems makes you stronger. The most challenging times are opportunities for us to realize moments change, and great struggles enable us to attain immense good fortune. Those who have experienced great suffering can develop into outstanding people. Those who have undergone painful trails can help many others. Such difficult moments intensify the happy moments. The key is to take one step, even half a step, toward what you are going for, no matter whoever stands in front of you disagreeing and preventing from your dream. And all you need to do is to have courage and get back up whenever you fall down. I know as long as you keep fighting through, you can definitely win!

Okay, now onto today's look! I wore this look for my friend's birthday party, but this wasn't how I normally dress up for one. It's good to change up your tendencies and try something you don't generally do.

I am so glad I chose

this cute tribal print dress from

for the occasion. I haven't worn this print for a long time, and finally I get to play with some prints over plain clothes! I think the print will never go out of style, and the color of this dress is very fall-ready, plus it's long sleeve! I like the wide cut in front. This dress actually has pockets, but I totally forgot to photograph the details! I am always in love with a dress with pockets! Even though it came in a small size, I am super petite. So I had to adjust the length by adding a belt to make it more fitting and flattering! Paring it with my favorite fringe sandals adds a touch of playfulness, and I am pleased that I managed to create a color-blocking ensemble with these sandals, a

red mini bag

burgundy sunnies

in addition to my mermaid hair! I am back to rocking

statement earrings

that's one of the trend this fall/winter

.  I am not ready to say good bye to summer just yet, but doing our homework on what's coming next and starting to incorporate the trends into the current looks definitely help us prepare for the new season!

Thanks for reading today's long post, and I really do hope that you could relate to what I have experienced and that I inspired you somehow! And of course hopefully you enjoy today's look as well!

If you ever want to vent, please remember that I am here for you. You are not the only one who going through a lot!

Hi LOVEs!!!
Happy Sunday! Even though I wore this look on a Monday a few weeks ago,  it's safe to say that this can be a perfect 'Sunday Funday' look. Do you agree? This dress is so pretty it makes me want to twirl around! It puts a smile on my face!

I'd been looking for a fab floral printed dress that I can wear from day to night. This number is definitely the one I'd had in my mind for decades. Though it has slinky silhouette, its texture is extremely comfortable so it doesn't give you that "body-hugging" feeling. Needless to say, the print is just adorable! I threw on a faux suede jacket on over it ( By the way, this is my current obsession! Been wearing it like crazy!) to tone it down for a "day" look. Before I got my hands on this suede jacket, I used to put on a biker jacket. However, now I am more in love with the combo of a dress and a suede jacket! If you haven't snagged one yet, well I highly recommend you do! I selected some of my faves including mine down below ;) Right now it's the best substitute outerwear right now for whatever jacket you already tired of!

The day I wore this outfit, I went to Robert Leonard Salon and Day Spa to be a hair model for Avant Garde up-do styling class. My stylist decided to do this fluffy side-down up-to hair. I couldn't be more pleased with how the hair topped off the whole look!

What would you wear for your Sunday Funday?
Lots of weekend love!

Far From Basic

So you have a LBD & LWD, right? Now how about LGD?

DRESS: c/o Fly Nation
HEELS: c/o Missguided ( adore THESE or THESE, TOPSHOP)
BAG: eBay (or similar Boohoo, Steve Madden )
HAT: Aritzia
NECKLACE: c/o Fly Nation

Hi LOVEs! Happy Sunday!!
This is another look ft. my new favorite brand, Fly Nation. I hope you liked the previous look in their killer black swimsuit! I really adore their simple yet chic and edgy/street style that you can rock on daily basis.  I think this gray t-shirt dress really shows that off. It was really hard for me to pick what I want for this collaboration, but I am so glad to get my hands on this LGD. To be honest with you, I didn't have any dress in gray, and this number is perfect due to its comfiness. It's is simply so flattering. Normally a t-shirt dress is considerably toned down, but its side slit design not only makes a look so fly, but it elongates your legs as well. Heck yes! This "far from basic" t-shirt is definitely an everyday essential for every girl's closet.

Since the dress is simple, I edged it up by adding a bunch of gold jewelry and a pop of red on my lips. I styled it with a baseball cap and a fringe bag for a sporty effect. Then, I paired it with a platform sandals, but you can swap them for your favorite kicks for a more casual look OR to strappy heels for a night out!
A lot of sweet weekend hugs! xoxo

Hi LOVEs! I hope you all had a lovely and safe July 4th weekend!!!!
I was introduced to a local amazing designer Elizabeth and her own line Elizabeth Roberts right before my DC trip. I was so pleased to pick up this gorgeous trench vest on their first Annual Warehouse Sale. But let me say first. It's actually designed for a belted long vest dress. I'd been dying to get my hands on a stunning trench vest as well as a sleeveless jacket and hers is just perfect. I realized that wearing it as a vest is more flattering to me, but of course I will share with you what it looks as a dress soon on here. Without no doubt, I had to bring it with me to rock while enjoying my trip!!!

Elizabeth thrives on kinetic energy and perpetual motion informing her life and design, and I really embrace her cutting edge of both fashion and technology. All of her jackets has a SMARTSHIELD pocket feature designed to protect wearers from the invisible but real dangers of electromagnetic frequencies and microwaves emitted when carrying cellular phones. Her collection offers very functional and flattering designs that reflect refined luxury. It's sleek and subtle with a feminine touch.

I wore this look on day 3 in DC and wanted as comfortable as possible for roaming the city and sightseeing. I combined a silky cami and denim shorts. Then added a pair of fringe sandals for a pop of color and a little fun effect (Don't worry, I switched them into flats when sightseeing began!) I like how they match with my hair color! When it's hot and humid, you don't wanna layer your clothes. But this trench vest is super light weight and breathable, so it helps you mange being chic on a hot day! Yesterday I put it on with a cropped top and midi skirt to tone down. To my surprise, it goes with any look! I accessorized my newest gold necklace (18K) from Isharya, and I am so in love with this double dainty chains and lovely disc with cz. Perfect by itself yet layering with other dainty necklaces could be also wondeful!

I can't wait to show you the dress version of this piece! Meanwhile, check out her design!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Let's kick off a great start of the week, cuties! ♥

Hi LOVEs!!! Happy FriYAY!

It has been a crazy week and thank god it's almost the weekend! I actually really don't get to enjoy the weekend because I have to work, but still I embrace the feeling of them. After a week of wearing crazy high heels, curling my hair, and putting a little more effort into how I look, I enjoy the chance to kick back a bit on the weekend. Well, well... Who wouldn't? So when I fee like a break from the rigors of fashion, I got for a comfy and casual look. But that doesn't mean I don't want to stay stylish! I wore this outfit a month ago, and it is one of my casual outfits for those day when "I wanna take a break."

I got this amazingly killer gray long knit cardi from

Now I Style

, a Japanese brand, last year when I was an official blogger on their site. Since then, this has been my BFF! It's super comfy and cozy and keeps my whole body really warm because it seriously keeps out the cold. Even though I am so short, I am totally not hesitant to wear floor-length outerwear! Because who said that short people can't rock a floor-length item? Putting on a hat is also something I can't live without when I opt for a casual look. I chose this

gray beanie from

Forever 21

to go together with the cardigan, and a pair of fake glasses nicely add that playful touch. I decided to style it up with a total all white ensemble underneath the cardigan. Although it's winter, I like wearing a t-shirt for a loose fit, kind of like the feel of pajamas. And this

is totally loving and inspiring! I've been obsessed with these

TOPSHOP ripped skinny jeans

ever since I added them to my closet. I DIYed the ripped parts and added more of them around my thigh to make them look much cooler, and I am glad I did it! It gives me that excitement like "mine are better than yours!" I finished it off with silver oxford shoes to add a little bit of chicness. With the contrast of white and gray, I must say this look is one of the best casual looks I have put together!

Have a great weekend dolls!

Hi LOVEs! Fall is finally here!
Before I came to the States all by myself - no friends, no relatives - 6 years ago,  I used to easily give up, especially on my dreams. I didn't even try hard to give things a shot. I felt that I couldn't accomplish anything, even if I tried. I didn't have courage and expected that things would only happen if they were meant to be. But you know, that is not right. If you want things to happen, you gotta try and put some effort to make them materialize. After I was here in America on my own for a few years, I slowly yet dynamically changed myself and even my life. I would say it was a 180 degree change.  I became stronger, more courageous, and more ambitious. I gained more self-confidence and I envision that my life is going to be what I want it to be. I try to overcome my fear of doing doing something that might be uncomfortable or that seems to be super new to me.

To be honest with you, it is super hard and tough to pursue my dreams in a foreign country. I've been struggling with many many things and that has brought deep depression on occasion. However, I always strive to push myself to work hard with solid will and strong passion not to be defeated. I am so determined that nothing can stop me. Even though sometimes I amy experience times of negativity, now I feel like I am finally "alive" and I sense that I have my feet on the right path with a clear vision of my destination. Finally, I found how to be "true to myself."
Ever since I decided to pursue my dreams, I have had a lot of mottos in mind to keep myself going, and one of them is definitely... "Don't give up!!!" Although I have had to face innumerable obstacles on the path to chase my dreams, having this quote in my head really helps me to stand up, and as a result I've encountered numerous moments that made me think "This is just too good to be true!" I still can't believe some of the smaller dreams were actually realized already within short periods. Because of that, I can now confidentially say this:
As long as you don't give up, you can make anything happen no matter how long it may take.

With the being said, I am very pleased to get my hands on this tee with such an inspiring quote from Le Motto. I really admire what they believe and what they do:

We believe that words do have power and each tee presents an original personal motto. The fundamental purpose behind the Le Motto Collection is to promote positivity.  With the impact of just a few well-chosen words, it can be enormous! In addition to promoting universal positivity, currently 10% of profits are being allocated to anti-bullying causes.

How amazing is that? Besides the motto I picked, there are more inspirational motto tees available on their site, and of course mens tees are there, too! To style up my tee, I paired it with some major basic items such as a blazer and denim shorts. Yet, it's time to cozy up! I added a rib beanie for a pop of color and a pair of over-the-knee boots! (Oh god, these ones are amazingly comfy, thank you so much Mom!) I finished off by adding a fringe bag for a touch of edginess, and I loved how I rocked it when I folded the bag half and used it as a clutch!

What's is your motto for life?
Thank you very much for stopping by!
