Hi LOVEs!!!
Hope you had a wonderful weekend! I went to Bite of Seattle with my Japanese bestie on Saturday, and I had a lot of fun enjoying the festival even though I didn't get to try out what I wanted to. Have you guys been to? Then I ended my Saturday watching the new Terminator: Genisys and Oh EM GEE! I LOVED IT! I was such a big fan of the series from my childhood and I can't wait to see the rest of them! I totally recommend to watch it before it's gone!

I am starting off this week with another swimwear look that I am more than excited to share with you guys!! Unlike the bikini from the previous post, this one from Fly Nation is much more sleek, sophisticated, and matured. Black bikinis are always on point, but this one with the string design around the chest and side hips is what makes a head-turner piece! You know I am all about details! Then, I styled it with a dramatic drapy cover up which is also from Fly Nation. I seriously can't get over its beauty, and my eyes become heart shaped when the wind blows as the cover up breathtakingly flows in the air! My new photographer friend Sarah did such an amazing job capturing the moments, and we are so stoked about how the images turned out! They look like editorial-looking bikini shots!

Fly Nation is currently offering a BIG sale and you can get pretty bikinis like mine only at $20! Don't miss out this awesome deal and let's get the bikini party started this weekend!! ♥

Hi LOVEs!!!!
I hope you are all well! For the last few days, I've been feeling a bit discouraged because of sickness, and it's super hard to keep positive and get energized... Ugh I hate this kind of feeling </3 How do you guys beat the feeling when you are in a bad condition?

Sometimes, I really love playing with simple ensembles - just plain black and white. And I totally believe that you never go wrong with simplicity. To me, hair style is one of the significant parts of my style. I don't want to stick with single style. If you have followed me longer enough, you've seen me changing the color countless times for the past several years... and I've mentioned a couple of times already that it really affects how I want to style myself. Because I have this cool lavender ombre hair, going for black & white look is even more fun. It highlights my hair color so much.

I created the look with what I already had except my clutch. Adore the top with a sporty vibe paired with side zipped black skinny pants for a chic and sophisticated touch. Wearing a lightweight soft jacket definitely helps to refine your spring/summer look, and it is also a great way to layer up for a little chiller weather.  I love how this white biker jacket polished the look even more. I decided to finish the look with my new mirror embroidery clutch that I was gifted. This clutch instantly adds a festivity vibe and to my surprise, it goes with anything!! Just like a leopard clutch is always on point to any look! So I can't help but carrying it everywhere lately!

Happy Hump day cuties!

Hi LOVEs!
Yay! Weekend is finally here!
Today's post is going to be short and sweet. When I was looking through the pictures from fabulous Fashion Week for the last few months, Eva Chen's black and white number print dress really caught my eyes and right on time I found a similar dress on Ami Clubwear. (Unfortunately it's sold out :( ) The print is just awesomely unique, yet head-turner, isn't it?! I always can't take my eyes off anything with amazing prints and details! My style is all about uniqueness, and this dress definitely embodies that feature. Even though this is a bodycon dress, which is considered to be worn for nigh out, I wanted to create a day look with it. So I simply paired it with this awesome pastel biker jacket and a white clutch bag with inspiring quotes on the both side. Since the print makes the dress edgy and cool, I went with stunning faux leather booties, also courtesy of Ami Clubwear, to complete the look. I extremely adore the details all over the shoes, especially the heel part!

It could be fun to style up the dress in a different way with a chunky knit, sheer tights, and killer booties for another day look!

Happy weekend everyone!

Hi LOVEs!
If you know me well enough, you know I love playing around with prints and bright colors. However, ever since this season's trends have been revealed, I have recognized that impact of simple and basic items. I just can't stop incorporating them into my daily looks. Today's look is absolutely one of my favorites!

By the way, what are your favorite trends this fall and winter? Of all the hot trends right now, I am obsessed with the pastel and retro feeling from the 60's, and I can't get enough of that 90's classic style. So I decided to combine both in this outfit, and it totally worked out! I recently got this cropped turtleneck sweater from H&M, and it's just so perfect to pull off the 90's vibe instantly. The item has become a staple piece in my wardrobe now. I am literally wearing it right now even as I am writing this!
I paired it with my vintage high-waisted shorts and two new items from Ami Clubwear: yellow pointy toe pumps and a lavender tote mini bag. I love how they give the outfit a 60's vibe, so to emphasize it further I added a pair of ankle socks. The temperature is dropping now, and wearing pumps with bear feet give me a chill. Yet, wearing tights would be too hot and dull during the day. That's why adding a pair of socks is season appropriate and gives you a touch of chicness. Even it helps to upgrade your fall look.

You may have noticed a little change in my hair, huh? Yes, I spontaneously chopped off my hair!!! Haha. Just kidding, instead I found a super easy way to style a bob hair style without cutting off your beautiful hair! Just wear a turtleneck (It's super trendy and snuggling!), and don't pull your hair out from the collar! It doesn't sound like it would work out, so I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it! I really like easy hairstyles that produce a wow factor.

Have a lovely day, cuties!

Hi LOVEs!!!
In past interview about me and my fashion,  the first few question I was always asked were 'how would you describe your style?' and 'what is your fashion/style inspiration?" I would quickly answer these questions with: "my style is "diverse and versatile." Ever since fashion became party of my life, I have been inspired by the variety around me.
Of course, I receive the most inspiration from the environments that I live in. Japan is a world innovator in fashion, with tons of independent and home-grown styles seen on the streets of Tokyo, as you may be aware... Although I didn't dress in all of these styles, I used to check our many of the fashion magazines and became familiar with the specifically features the particular fashion styles. Some were really crazy to me and not quite my style, but I still studied from  for inspiration. Then, I came to America, which is considered to contain one of the most diverse populations in the world. The fashions of so many cultures come together here in America. I believe my fashion is heavily inspired by both American and Japanese cultures, and so crating my own individualized look from these two influences has become my signature style.

With that in mind, unlike the previous post, today's outfit is totally different, isn't it? Once in a while, I love dressing up in a style inspired by Punks, Club Kids, and Street fashion. I got my inspiration from a Boy London style to achieve today's outfit featuring Dress To Kill Miami. I was ecstatic that they asked to work with me because they carry the styles that I love. In this outfit, I am wearing their Girls Just Wanna Have Fun tee & Lonton Trash Ceres Zebra Calfhair Heels. No doubt these instantly became my favorite pieces. I normally wear size Small, but I picked Medium to wear it oversized. Even still, it fits me just right!!! No explanation is needed for these kick-ass shoes. They are now the tallest and craziest shoes I have in my closet! lol I am a big shoe fan, and I am especially crazy about platforms. The elastic bands across the top of my foot (or vamp) give the right amount of sex appeal, too!

If you keep an eye on what is trending, then you know what the next big hit will be this spring and summer, right? Yes, SPORTY!!!! A handful of spring collections on runways channeled a SPORTIF touch fused by modern fashion, and I can't simply ignore the trends. It's too cool not to try it and super easy to achieve!!! So I went with these leather jog shorts and a men's backpack and accessorized in a studded gray beanie by Shop Chic Stud LA and gold accessories. Wearing the white lace sleeve top underneath of the T-shirt completely topped off the look and is great way to add that touch of femininity that can sometimes be lacking in street fashion.

So why not try your own hand at styling it up?
You can shop the T-shirt and zebra heels as well as other awesome pieces at Dress To Kill Miami with 10% off any order over $75 using the code "BABEAIKA"! Don't miss this special offer!

I hope you all have a lovely day!

This set was shot a while ago, but I didn't have a chance to share. I was asked to model for a school project of my photographer friend Merissa. The main purpose was to create an editorial photoshoot with a concept emphasizing dark theme and lots of action. We went with dark make up with red lips and wearing heels to create a sense of being "tall and powerful".
We shot a couple of outfits, and this is the first set of them. Although it was my first time working with her, I super-enjoyed her photographing me -- an amazing photographer, I have to say!

My styling for the first outfit is to achieve the combination of past, modern and future.  The checkerboard dress emphasizes the 60's vibe and is paired with knee high socks and platform heels to embrace the modern. I finalized this look with hair ponytailed on the top hanging down over my face which worked well as I focused on posing. As she pressed the shutter, I tried to embody a sense action and movement, bringing in some unnatural, awkward poses to give a surreal, modern tension.

I hope you enjoyed the first editorial photos and stay tuned for the others which are totally different  and just as exciting!

Have a nice day ;)

Hi LOVEs!!!!
Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend and Black Friday shopping! I went for shopping  for almost 12 hours with some nap breaks! Crazy huh?
I got several great-deal goodies as well as my first Rebecca Minkoff  mini satchel bag! (The picture is already up on my IG @aikaslovecloset <3 )

I received this WHITE BEANIE from EA$Y MONEY CLOTHING to work together with! I am totally a sucker for beanies and didn't have a white beanie. It was the perfect gift from them! THANK YOU!
EA$Y MONEY CLOTHING offers monotone street fashion inspired clothes and  'EA$Y' represents those that do what they love. They believe success is dedicating yourself to what you love and focusing on becoming the best you can be. That's what they stand for: getting by in life doing what you love.
I am really inspired by their motto. I do what I love and love what I do: FASHION <3 So it was such a pleasure to work with such a company that encourages those people who strive to become the best they can be!

I have mentioned tons of times that I love mixing colors, yet I still adore black and white/all-black style. Why not? Since EASY MONEY CLOTHING style is street fashion oriented, I wanted to achieve something combining it with both chicness and edginess. I styled up with a lovely sheer black peplum top courtesy of Charlotte Russe and my favorite biker pants that I recently picked at Isabel Marant pour H&M collection. Then I paired it up with my new hologram bag from NASTY GAL(similar here) and wore ASOS silver shoes (similar here). I forgot to bring my sunglasses, which is one of my all-time essentials, but luckily Justin has these awesome ones to let me borrow. With my surprise, they elevate the street-style vibe quite well. Red lips always instantly upgrade your look if you want to add a touch of elegance or chicness.

Oh by the way... how cute is this doggy iPhone case from Marc by Marc Jacobs?
I also bought an owl one (HERE) I really like I can change it one after another depending on how I feel on the day! They have a bunch of lovely iPhone cases, you better check them out!
Finally I was able to switch my old cracked-screen iPhone 4S to a new iPhone 5S. I have been amazed and enjoyed it more than I expected!

I decided to make a totally composed look wearing this beanie so please stay tuned for how I differently style it up!
Have a wonderful day

-----------------------------------------------------

Hi LOVEs!!!! Hope you all had an amazingly fun Halloween and a fabulous weekend!

I wore this outfit to the rag & bone event that I was invited to a month ago, and I asked my awesome photographer Justin Swain to snap these pictures at one of my favorite locations in Seattle. After all, I really love this outfit and wanted to have professional photographs taken against a metro background. To top if off, when I went to the event, I was given a bunch of random compliments on my ensemble! I was very flattered!

Since the event was a cocktail party, I didn't want to attend the party wearing just ordinary clothes. No way! I decided to dress up in a sophisticated tomboy style, which turned out to be very effective at catching people's eyes!!! If you know me well, you would know that I normally prefer to wear colors. However, I tried to keep this outfit as monotone as possible so that it retains a classy and polished look.
This really cute windowpane chiffon shirt that I recently picked up from Forever 21 is just a killer. It's one of the trendy items for fall and winter, and I was quite taken by this trend when I read the article at WhoWhatWear.com. Windowpane prints are a very simple motif, yet once you add them in your look, you can't help but create a classic and chic vibe.. What an amazing print! I was very happy to run into it!
Additionally, because the blazer and the pants are quite plain, adding this shirt adds a bit of flair to the ensemble. Add to that the crystal jewelry to frame my face and the bright rouge lipstick and I got something that looks dressy with a bit of flair!

To strengthen the tomboy vibe, I put on a trilby hat and tucked my hair into the hat, which really added the boyish charm. Then I added a pair of suspenders... all of a sudden I saw how suspenders can make the look more interesting and fun! This look could have been too formal and ordinary without them...

I am normally quite hesitant to wear wide trousers like I wore in this post. I am not very tall and my legs are on shorter side, so I can look even shorter with these types of pants. It becomes very unbalanced-looking. However, I found an amazing solution.
"Wear a pair of platform heels and let the hem down over the heels!!!"
As you see in the pictures, my heels are fully covered by the hem of the pants.  That way I look 5 inches taller (YAY), and my silhouette is much nicer.

Did you like my dressy tomboy style? I hope you do!
It's fun to dress up with mannish items! :)

Have a great day loves! <3

rag & bone Reception Party at Bellevue Square

--------------------------------------------

About two weeks ago, on the 3rd of October, I was invited to rag & bone reception party and a personal appearance with Marcus and David. I was so flattered to be there although I was super nervous at the same time since I'd never attended this kind of party. I had no idea what to wear until the day before the party, either.

I ended up wearing a TOM BOY style in a dressy way. I will write another blog about this outfit later, so stay tuned for the post and details! I definitely loved how I styled myself up! I randomly got so many compliments from the people at the party, even from a photographer! YAY!

I adore their F/W collection for both mens and womens! To me rag & bone is a bit pricey. But I would definitely wear it if I can afford lol  I typically don't wear simple clothes, yet each of their piece is well-made and well-textured, and I found a lot of awesome garments I wanted to wear/own right away. I love the color palette of the collection that ranges from icy to earthy, encompassing mineral green, metallic grey, teal, olive, dark brown, eggplant and orange.  If I have a boyfriend, I would love to shop together at rag & bone! I am impressed with how their collection matches the ideal style that I want my bf to wear! haha

Besides taking a look at their collection, I also enjoyed the party with the provided refreshments, photo-taking with David and Marcus, and the band performing by a local band Campfire OK. At the last minute of leaving the party, I had fun as well chatting with really friendly people, sharing my thoughts and dreams regarding fashion! We decided to snapping ourselves for the memory! :)

Special thanks to Jessica, a Fashion PR at Nordstrom for inviting me to this wonderful and fun event!
I really hope to get invited more down the road so that I can get to connect with more new people! :)

As you have seen from a lot of bloggers and celebrity looks, monochrome styles are definitely one of the popular trends this season.
When I found this dress, I thought this would be a perfect eye-catchy yet unique item I should try... What a pleasant surprise to see how successfully it turned out! I certainly love this look!!!!!  Not only does it all come together really well, it really has a very elegant and sophisticated feel about it. Despite being monochrome (which sometimes runs the risk of being boring), today's look has a fun and playful aspect thanks to the dress' design and the cut out lace-up heels.

I really adore the statement that the necklace and crystal earrings make.
The necklace is a very versatile piece since it can go well with a casual style all the way to a dressy style like today's look.
Chunky, big, and bold earrings are a must-have item for this summer and fall. Adding fabulous jewelry can instantly refine your outfit and make your face shine!

Hope you like/love my monochromatic look <3
