A Few Trends in One Look // Spring Layering

A Few Trends in One Look // Spring Layering

I managed to pull together a few of my current beloved trends into one look. Can you guess which ones?

Vintage Band Tee & Suede Choker

Vintage Band Tee & Suede Choker

Whenever I feel too lazy to dress up for the day, one of my go-to solutions is wearing a oversized band tee!! Add a thick choker & 70s sunglasses, and you are ready to rock it on the street!

Seventies In DC

My 70's obsession continues in this trench dress.

DRESS: c/o Elizabeth Roberts  |  SHOES: JustFab  (Similar HERE & HERE)  |  BAG: From Japan (Similar HERE & HERE)  |  BELT: Thrifted (Similar HERE & HERE)  |  SUNNIES: ASOS  |  NECKLACE: c/o Isharya

Hi LOVEs!!!
Remember when I wore a trench vest a few posts back a few posts back during my trip to DC, and told you that it was actually designed for a belted trench dress? So today, I am sharing the dress look that I wore as the dress as promised!

Personally, I like to wear it as a trench vest, but I can't get over how cute and chic it is as a dress as well. It's a bit of big on me so I decided to put a wide belt instead of the attached one, in order to be able to tuck up for the length adjustment. As I was styling this look with the belt, it turned out to be an amazing 70's inspired look. So I added bold cat eye sunnies and a quilted clutch to emphasize the vibe more. I finished off by pairing floral print sandals for a stunning eye-candy effect.  It was really humid in DC, so doing a ponytail hair is a perfect way to beat the weather while it actually elevated the look to be more dolly!
During my DC trip, I've been wearing this gorgeous 18k gold pendant necklace from Isharya. I love how it gives a great amount of glam to my look!

Behind the coordinating of this look, I was using a closet organizer app called Stuff N Style, which is an app that helps women put together outfits with pieces that they already have in their closet. You know you have a moment an "Omg! I have nothing to wear (with a full of clothes in your closet)" moment? Well, this app makes it easier to visualize what you have and help you organize your closet digitally on your phone, never missing a piece because you forget you have them!
I was introduced to this app a while ago, and I was amazed by how handy it is,  especially for travel when you have a limited quantity of clothes you can bring. I will make a separate post that features this app soon! Meanwhile, you can download it from HERE if you are interested in trying it out!

Happy hump day, dolls!

Back To The 70's

Hi LOVEs!!!!
Recently I have run into a super cool fashion online store called Stylemoi! Have you guys heard of it? If not, you should definitely check them out! They have a ton of lovely stuff that wows you!! One of the amazing facts about them is that they offer variety of size choices from XS to XXL! With that said, I am so honored to collaborate with Stylemoi and get hands on their summer-ready pieces! I was so lucky to pick 4 things, which I am sharing with you one of them today.
These freaking fun ripped knee jeans caught my eyes immediately when I found them on there. Then, I am completely in love with them in person! Denim jeans, high-waisted, well-fitting, and ripped. What would you need more? I decided to go for a 70's vibe styling them with my current finds, a cable knit cropped top and bold cat eye sunnies! If you dig 70's vibe, a combo of high-neck crop tops and high-waisted bottoms is one of the effortless way to achieve it. This ensemble is gonna be heavy rotation for sure! What do you guys think?

I am super thrilled that I am going on a quick short trip today to Portland with my friend which I decided to plan at the last second! It probably won't let me do a lot of activities there since I am going along with his client meetings, but it's always refreshing to change a pace just by going somewhere fur, right? Follow me on Instagram (@aikasloveclose) or Snapchat (@fashionistaika) for more real-time updates!

Happy Thursday, cutie pies! ♥

70's Jumpsuit

Feeling awesome to finally get back to the grind and writing a new post in my new room!

Photographed by

Marcus Annable

 //  Alki Beach

JUMPSUIT: Forever 21 (sold out, adore this, this or this)  //  CARDIGAN: BB Dakota  //  HAT: ASOS  //  CLUTCH: Gifted (similar here or here)  //  NECKLACE: Rebecca Minkoff  //  EARRINGS: JJ Caprices  (use AIKASLOVECLOSET for 15% off of your order)  //  RINGS: Forever 21, Fresh Tangerine

I have no idea where to start, but I am feeling freaking amazing to fully recover from

the incident

and settle in to a new place!! My room wasn't furnished so I went to furniture shopping at IKEA last Friday and got my hands on a lot of stuff.  A bunch of lights (because my room is in the basement), candles, clocks, storage goodies, and.... BED! When I first moved in here, I was bedless. I had no choice to sleep on the floor without a mattress - just a few blankets in place of it. It was kinda of nightmare, and I actually had super weird dreams a few nights in a row! So I am totally excited to sleep in my cute, white fluffy bed now!! Ever since my childhood, I've always dreamed of having a canopy because why not? It's adorable and makes a bed much cuter! And guess what? That dream came true!!! My landlord is so nice that I can decorate however I want to. My new roommate just painted his wall from white to orange. I can't wait to DIY my new house! Hopefully I will have a chance to peek my new room/house for you guys soon!

When I found this awesome jumpsuit at

Forever 21

online, I once neglected to buy it because I didn't know how good it would look on me. Then, a few days later, when I went to their store with my friend, I found it and she pushed me to try it on. Immediately, I fell in love with it!!! Although I had to tailor the hems, this jumpsuit is perfect to me! I have a long torso and short legs, which always make me hard to find a flattering jumpsuit. So actually this is my first time owning it! I definitely love the 70's inspired print with a blue color accent. I am generally not very comfortable wearing a piece that widely opens around my chest due to small breasts. But this jumpsuit solves the problem and gives me an even better look.

I decided to layer it with an oversized cardigan and my all-time favorite

camel hat

. I tend to glam up by wearing stacking bracelets as the weather gets warmer and the skin is shown. It's fun to mix and match with what you have already and new accessories. Plus, the outfit never looks so plain. I've been in love with my new

"Jewel Box" Y-neckalce from

Rebecca Minkoff

. It's not a bold statement piece, but it's definitely something you can wear on daily basis from day to night.

What's your favorite spring/summer piece lately?

Happy Tuesday

Purple Florals

It's spring, time to get intrigued with floral prints.

Photographed by Marcus Annable  //  Fremont

TOP: H&M (similar here or here)  //  PANTS: c/o ZAMRIE  //  EARRINGS: gifted JJ Caprices  //  BAG: JustFab  //  SUNNIES: ASOS  //  LIPSTICK: Gerard Cosmetics - Kimchi Dool & 1995

Hi LOVEs!!! Happy Friday!!!
One of the favorite things in spring is definitely to enjoy a day with a pretty view of blooming flowers wherever I go. At a park, neighbors, and random streets. Literally everywhere. Yesterday while I was running a little errands, I came across adorable cuties on the way. So I had to stop and took a snap of it! This little happiness always gives me a positive vibe and puts a big smile on my face naturally.

Wearing floral prints is another way to amuse myself with the season. And these 70's inspired floral printed pants are absolutely on point! The color is so uplifting, the fabrics are so stretch that I feel like I am wearing a pj, and I love the big flower prints! The lengths are flattering for petites even though you have to wear a pair of platforms, which I don't mind that at all. Yay to longer legs! I paired them with a simple black cropped top to make the pants pop and also to show a bit of skin for a great amount of sexiness. I wore this on Easter so I added pastel blue mini bag to celebrate the holiday.

As the weather gets warmer, I opt to play with my hair like top buns, ponytails, or side braids...The options are endless and it's actually somewhat significant to style your hair because one look can be changeable depending on your hairstyles! Whenever my whole face is showed, adding a pair of statement earrings is a must.  Recently JJ Caprices gifted these gorgeous jeweled earrings when I had a meeting with her and I instantly fell in love with them. Too lovely to take them off! Loving the color-blocking action going with crystals and silver accents!! Her boutique offers one-of-a-kind pieces, and that makes me feel even special to wear these earrings! I highly recommend to visit her store if you love amazing, unique and handmade jewelry around the world.
Don't forget to enjoy a special code, "AIKASLOVECLOSET" for 15% off of your order!
