Hi LOVEs!!!!! I hope your week has been amazing!! Although spring is officially here now, Seattle isn’t like LA unfortunately. It’s super moody and mild. One day it feels like a summer, and one day it reverts to winter. I was cleaning my room today (It was such a mess! Haha) and I still couldn’t ditch those cozy knits in my closet. Also, I am literally wearing my coziest sweater as I am writing this blog!
If you live in an area where the sun is not always up, like here in Seattle, it can be tricky this time of the year because you want to wear something that still keeps you warm yet still look Spring appropriate. A few posts ago, I actually shared some tips on how to look springly while staying cozy you.
So here is another of my looks for spring style.
I have to confess that I am totally obsessed with blush pleated mini skirt. When I was a teenager, I was so crazy for these type of skirts and I probably had 5 of them. So, it’s kinda funny that I am wearing it again and am still a sucker for it 15 years later.
The 70’s are coming back in a big way, and I adore 70’s preppy style. But I added a little bit of twist to create a more edgy and modern vibe byrocking those wide fishnet tights. Then, paired them with those killer patent boots, which are my all time favorite.
Song of Style’s recent post featured her favorite patent staples and I have to totally agree with what she said; it feels badass yet still polished — a cool and distressed twist on the traditional leather look that never gets old. Yes, Aimee!!!!
In spring, when the air is still crisp, you all agree that we still need some layers. I know you are itching to show off some skin by now. But hey! Normally, the easiest way could be throwing over a jacket, but I love layering with a white cotton shirt like this one with a wide cuff. I rolled the sweater’s sleeves up to have the cuff peek out from underneath.
This extended sleeve-trend realm is another trend that I am so into right now! The sleeves are so long that they are almost practical, but as for me, oh-god, my arms are finally looking elongated; and, is fashion supposed to be reasonable all the time?
Those trends are definitely achievable and fun! To my surprise, I feel more stylish if I go for the seasonal trends. Do you relate? There are no rules in this fashion world, but to follow what feels right is very on point.
