3 Tips To Prepare For An Early Spring

Wow, I can’t believe that this is actually my first post in March! I am deeply sorry for the lack of content lately, but look forward and be excited for fun posts coming down the road soon!

Although spring is officially less than two weeks away, the winter is still hanging on tight! Ugh, I know, it’s sad... Because I am sure many of you are getting tired of wearing layers and layers every day and are itching for the warmer weather as much as I am!

Yet, we don’t wanna freeze our butts off by wearing lighter clothes, do we? I am with you. So today, I am sharing a few tips on how to cozy up to beat the temps while you can slowly prepare for spring with today’s casual look!

1st Tip: Try To Avoid Dull Colors

Pick lighter colors, such as beige, white, and pastel colors.

Instead of putting on a black beanie, I swapped it with this sandy colored pom pom beanie instead. Then, I picked a white sweater. Tt would be still pretty with a blush colored sweater too!

2nd Tip: Wear Distressed Jeans

Select a pair of ripped jeans over plain, non-styled jeans. Showing off skin, even a little, makes a big difference. Don’t be a drab and dull winter lady, but rather a slightly cute snow angel! I know you would probably think, “But it’s still chilly!” Don’t worry, you simply layer up with fishnet tights.
Not only is this a way to be instantly trendy, but it actually helps you cover that bare skin. Also, I have a strong feeling that the fishnets trend will be out in full force continuing into spring and early summer.

3rd Tip: Accessorize Properly

You still might want to bundle up in your favorite warm and cozy scarf. I totally feel ya, but you gotta use your creativity, dear! If you have long hair like mine, you probably noticed that it’s works as a guard for the cold air. So try styling your hair down and then put on a cute hat. Lighter colored beanies work well, as I mentioned above, or take a chance with a fedora, beret, or newsboy hat, which I am currently so obsessed with.

If you have shorter hair, I recommend a silky scarf or bandana!

Another way to add a little spring vibe to your wintery wardrobe is pink or red lips. This way, you can brighten up your face and it really gives you the right complexion and adds some happiness to your look.

But make sure to prep your lips, like using brown sugar or lip conditioner (love this one from MAC & this one from Sephora) before applying those colors. Lips tend to be drier and chapped this time of year. I am wearing Milani Black Cherry! Been in love with this color for years now!

I hope my look, as well as my tips, inspire all of you to enjoy dressing up in that still-not-spring-yet-weather! Let me know if you have your own tips by commenting below! I’d love to hear them!
