New Valentine’s Look “Ditch The Ordinary Red & Pink”

When I posted the last ALL RED look, I’ve received many comments like “I love this all red look! It’s so perfect for Valentine’s Day, I wish I could pull off such bold colors”
While reading these comments, I realized there are hoards of girls out there who are intimidated by colors. So they inspired me to create and rock a chic and lovely Valentine’s Day look that’s NOT all about entirely red and pink!

I gotta tell you, I am obsessed with this look!! To me, I had been carrying the idea for a long time that we should noticeably wear Valentine’s colors - Red & Pink - for Valentine’s Day. But you actually really don’t have to sport those shades on your V day.
If you are not quite a “color” person, you can still wear Valentine’s Day color theme through makeup or accessories like red lipstick and a mini pink bag like mine. Red lipstick adds a perfect touch of attractiveness and alluring. I believe it actually helps you brighten up your whole face!

If you are still not bold enough to wear red lipstick, swap your bag for any bag in pink, pastel pink color to be exact. This shade always happens to be such a lovely color that elevates a whole look with a bit of femininity.

To create the whole look, I just put together girl’s basic winter items - turtleneck sweater, high rise skinny jeans and OTK boots. And then threw on a white faux fur coat because white hue is also a Valentine’s Day color, as well as fresh and chic. I love adding a waist belt because it gives the look a more sophisticated style. Also, it is the easiest way to make your legs elongate. (This one is a must for a petite like me!)

I think this look can’t be completed without pretty yet effortlessly easy hair - soft curled low pony with a bow hair ribbon. You look amazing in the front, but it’s always a plus when you can as elegant from the back too!! Even if you can’t splurge for Chanel to get a chanel ribbon, you can totally be creative by adding your favorite ribbon that you can get from a flower shop or fabric store - no one would tell you!

Have you decided what to wear on Valentine’s Day? I hope this look inspired you to think outside of the box, especially if you are one who feels uncomfortable rocking reds and pinks!
