I hope you had an amazing weekend! I decided to recharge myself by doing a crazy movie marathon for the first time in a long time! The weather was so pretty, but I kinda wanted to have a lazy day, so I just stayed on the couch and my bed. Then kept watching the total of 6 movies in a row! Crazy, huh? But I was totally satisfied with all the movies I picked! Especially I felt great because most of them were Japanese movies! haha
Out of all the pretty prints out there, I believe "polka dots" are never out of style! The pattern is definitely eye-catchy and adds a right amount of playfulness. With the right styling, polka-dots can be an ultra-chic twist on any look! When Yuna Yang, a New York based high fashion designer whose collection is a full of beautiful fabrics and well tailoring with elegant silhouettes, reached out to me for some styling collaboration, I was really drawn to these polka dots pieces at first.
I am so pleased that I was able to manage to pull off two same prints in one look. I think the blouse is very muted color compared to the trench coat so they aren't against with each other after all. Rather, it came out to be a delightful combination, don't ya think? Those two pieces are made of very light fabrics, so they are totally wearable during summer. Yet, I styled them with a frayed hem denim mini skirt and lace up sandals for more summer-appropriate style. This look can be a sophisticated office attire with a pencil skirt or trousers, topping it off with a pair of pumps.
There is actually a polka dot midi skirt in the collection, but it was out of stock. It would be super fun to style triple polka dots, wouldn't it? I bet, it will be one of the perfect "head-tuner" looks for the upcoming NYFW!!
Stay tuned for other looks (there will be three more!) styling Yuna Yang amazing designs!
