Hi LOVEs! How's your week been so far? I hope it's been a wonderful and productive one!

Today's post is all about BLACK (and edgy)!!!!! Ever since I finally turned into a "little mermaid" thanks to the talented Miguel at

Foxy Cut

, I've been so into a minimal, classic, monotone colored pieces. When I went to Portland a few weeks ago, of course I had to take advantage of "no-tax" shopping. Then, I snuggled this super soft

ribbed knit midi number at

Forever 21

! It's a little challenging to rock the dress with this length for a petite girl like myself, but its comfiness totally got me buying this number. It's literally like a pajama! haha

I loooove #allblackeveything and #whiteout themed looks especially during the summer just because I don't have to use a lot of brain power to think of what to wear in hot HOT weather! So I decided to style the look centered on the dress with black items: black strappy sandals, and a black mini bag. Yet, I spiced it up by adding a

purple lipstick

( a killer match for my hair, right?!) and

these awesome mirrored sunnies from

Polette

, which is a must item for summer! Needless to say, my hair is doing a freaking great job at adding a perfect spice on the look!

How do you like wearing all black during the summer? Yay or Nay?

Hang in there, babes! It's almost Friday!!!!

Hi LOVEs! I hope you all had a lovely and safe July 4th weekend!!!!
I was introduced to a local amazing designer Elizabeth and her own line Elizabeth Roberts right before my DC trip. I was so pleased to pick up this gorgeous trench vest on their first Annual Warehouse Sale. But let me say first. It's actually designed for a belted long vest dress. I'd been dying to get my hands on a stunning trench vest as well as a sleeveless jacket and hers is just perfect. I realized that wearing it as a vest is more flattering to me, but of course I will share with you what it looks as a dress soon on here. Without no doubt, I had to bring it with me to rock while enjoying my trip!!!

Elizabeth thrives on kinetic energy and perpetual motion informing her life and design, and I really embrace her cutting edge of both fashion and technology. All of her jackets has a SMARTSHIELD pocket feature designed to protect wearers from the invisible but real dangers of electromagnetic frequencies and microwaves emitted when carrying cellular phones. Her collection offers very functional and flattering designs that reflect refined luxury. It's sleek and subtle with a feminine touch.

I wore this look on day 3 in DC and wanted as comfortable as possible for roaming the city and sightseeing. I combined a silky cami and denim shorts. Then added a pair of fringe sandals for a pop of color and a little fun effect (Don't worry, I switched them into flats when sightseeing began!) I like how they match with my hair color! When it's hot and humid, you don't wanna layer your clothes. But this trench vest is super light weight and breathable, so it helps you mange being chic on a hot day! Yesterday I put it on with a cropped top and midi skirt to tone down. To my surprise, it goes with any look! I accessorized my newest gold necklace (18K) from Isharya, and I am so in love with this double dainty chains and lovely disc with cz. Perfect by itself yet layering with other dainty necklaces could be also wondeful!

I can't wait to show you the dress version of this piece! Meanwhile, check out her design!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Let's kick off a great start of the week, cuties! ♥

Hi LOVEs!

I normally try to avoid re-using wardrobe pieces because I would rather have my looks have variety. However, once I find something that completely steals my heart that is not an option. It WILL be on heavy rotation for sure.  I think you remember that I shared a

different look with this top

two weeks ago, but here is another look that has more of a feminine vibe. This was also one of the attires I chose  for my Oregon trip. I wore it again because I really wanted to shoot it!

This time, I styled it with super light

floral shorts

and topped it off with a

camel fedora

and

platforms

to match.

Off-the-shoulder tops

are so addicting, plus they are a hot piece right now. I seriously want to wear it every single day. It definitely gives a summery look and is effortlessly chic while being a perfect top to beat the heat. Summer has officially begun and this heat wave in Seattle is insane! Now is a perfect time to grab a few more off-the-shoulder pieces, from tops to dresses, any recommendations?

I am starting my long July 4th weekend now! Have a lot of fun and be safe!!

Hi LOVEs!!!!!
After coming back from Portland for a quick mini trip, I decided to do another short trip to D.C. with my friend! How exciting!!! One of my resolutions this year is to travel as much as I can. It feels so great to check this off from my list within half a year!! I didn't expect to do two trips in one month, either! I will stay in DC for only 4 nights, but it will be A TON OF FUN! Last Sunday one of my fans sent me a snap asking whether or not I am doing a meet & greet in D.C.! It literally brought me to tears because I seriously thought that this type of thing would only happen after I became a BIG blogger, like Kayture and The Blond Salad! But guys.... this is actually happening! Even more excited to go to D.C. now!

Alright, on to today's look! I got this khaki tee from ZARA, and it's been one of my stable pieces since then! It's so comfy and the color will never go out of style. There are so many ways to style a simple tee from casual to sophisticated. I love switching things up from regular black or white tees to this khaki one. Even though I am almost 30, (Yes! I am hitting 29 this November! ) I am still in love with wearing a denim mini skirt during summer, especially when I get tired of wearing denim shorts. So I put them together with a beaded belt as an accent. This combo definitely works well as-is, but I threw on a boyfriend blazer for a more polished look. I've been wearing these killer sporty-inspired sandals I snagged recently from JustFab, and I was blown away by how they can go with any look! Such an amazing pair to create a color-blocking ensemble or simply for a pop of color!

Make sure to follow me along on Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat (@fashionsitaika) for D.C. fun!
Have a wonderful Tuesday, cuties!

Hi LOVEs!!!! How was your weekend?
Here is the second look featuring Style Moi, one of my new beloved fashion online destination. Can I tell you something? The word can't express how much I love this versatile oh-so lovely off shoulder top!!!!! I'd been dying to get my hands on a summer top like this, but I just didn't have a chance to encounter a piece I really want to wear or fit my petite body perfectly. As I mentioned on the previous post, they offer a variety range of size options, and I got it in XS which is super hard to find the size in the US clothing stores.
This top is so soft and comfortable, and you can rock it from day to night. I even used as a cover top when I went to beach thanks to its sheer fabric!! On top of the off-shoulder design, these bell sleeves are what makes this top much cuter!

I styled it with high waisted denim shorts and my new summer wedge sandals for a chic effect. Even though the top is just as cute itself, I wanted to glam it up a little more with some gold jewelry. I layered a collar necklace and multirow necklace. This is such an unexpected combination, but I am actually loving it!  I was gifted this little pretty crystal ear cuff from my blogger babe, Tiffany at a blogger brunch. I adore her store called t + j Design and so happy to own this cute cuff because sometimes I don't want to over-accessorize myself, yet need some bling, which this one is the perfect piece for the occasion!

I hope you like how I style this Style Moi off-shoulder top! What is your summer-ready look?
Have a lovely week, dolls!

Hi LOVEs!!!
How was your Labor Day weekend? I hope it was fun and amazing, or at least that you could get some rest like I did!!

Wow... Can you believe that summer is coming to an end soon? I wish summer occurred twice a year so that I could enjoy summer looks for longer! I still have tons of summer outfit inspirations in mind, while at the same time I am transitioning my light summer wardrobe into cozy and snug items! But for now, until the temperatures start going down, I gotta take advantage of these last days of warm weather in all of my favorite summer clothes!

I finally had a chance to hang out with one of my dear friends/photographers, Teban when he was back in town! (He is always traveling around!!) Even though it was a brief get together, we had a great time photoshooting like always and grabbed a very delicious dinner at an Italian restaurant called Pizzeria Credo afterwards! Today I am sharing the second look we shot! (Stay tuned for the first outfit later when he comes back from his vacation!)

Mostly what I am wearing in this look are items that I snagged on sale this month from ZARA, and I really love them so much. They are great just because they are stylish -- they were incredibly friendly to my wallet, too! I decided to combine them all together, and this look is both playful yet chic for the summer! The beaded neck top is very pretty and elegant when seen from the front, while showing a flirty and dramatic flare from the behind. These paint brush pint trouser is super artistic, and they will definitely be fun to mix up with some fall clothes! I was so happy to finally get my hands on a pair of patent navy heels and am in love with how simple they are, yet so chic from any angle. All girls should have patent pumps and heels in their closet! They can add a touch of sophistication to any look! ZARA shoes are always so on point! I think everyone knows that :) Now I have a matching pair with my favorite Rebecca Minkoff patent bag!!!

I decided to style my hair in lightly curled ponytail to accentuate the girly vibe a bit more and also to highlight the bead part of the top. This is a super easy hair style, like 5 min up-do, and if you want to achieve a cooler and edgier side, do it without curling your hair!
I can't think of a better outfit to make sure that I end the summer with a bang!

Hi LOVEs!
I am so sad that the summr is getting close to the end. I still have tons of summer activities in mind that I haven't done yet... I am seriously not ready for the summer to be over! Hopefully I will be able to spend some quality time at Alki Beach soon, one of my favorite spots in Seattle!

It's all about the combination of my favorite pieces today! I got this lovely gingham print skirt from ASOS in early June, and I love waring it as a dress more than as-is. If you remember, I rocked a look as a dress a while ago, and this is another way I styled it up as a dress. If you are a petite, like me, it can be hard to find the perfect comfy dress. This one can totally solve that problem! This is the only gingham printed piece that I have in my closet, and I am very pleased how the print makes me feel extra girly and chic. It even adds some playful, but retro elegance touch. How can you not love a piece that keeps you cool from the remaining summer heat while looking super stylish?
I've been so in love with this straw boater hat ever since I snagged at H&M it awhile back. I think as much as I love a baseball cap, this hat is my top favorite summer hat for sure. Oh and it's very practical!! The mix of this ht and the dress is just so lovely.
You have no idea how many times I've worn these awesome studded white sandals over the past few months. I got them from ALDO last year and didn't have a chance to wear as many times as I wanted. I am a complete sucker for shoes that have WOW elements and details, and these gold studs definitely make the sandals a statement. With the bloke heels, there is no worrying about stability walking around, and even running to catch a bus! What a dream pair!
This time I decided to pair a black patent belt to match with the black ribbon on the hat, then finish the look with the light blue mini cross-body bag (to compliment the same hue of the dress) with some gold jewelry. Nothing is incorporated for fall inspirations, but this look really overjoyed me and gives a little bit of end-of-summer fun!

Wishing you cuties a very beautiful day!

___________

Hi LOVEs!

Another fashion week is coming up soon and I am very excited about the options that colder season offers, but there is still no way that I can't enjoy the hot summer weather while it lasts. I love waking up to the bright sunshine and then sipping a glass of fresh orange juice on my little patio to jump start my morning. I've lived in Seattle for almost 6 years now and I will never get tired of this beautiful and refreshing summer because Japan is just too hot and humid to be able to enjoy such pleasurable moments during the summer. Yesterday I can't believe that it went up to 94 degree! Yay to the remainder of summer!!

I teamed up with

Goodwill

, one of the nation's biggest thrift stores, to do something fun as part of their celebration for their new store launch in

Capitol Hill

. I was asked to shop there, hunt for whatever I loved (within a budget), and put together some outfits for them. It's pretty simple, but this is absolutely a fun way to celebrate their launch, isn't it? The last time I went to a

Goodwill

store was quite a while ago, perhaps even three years back? So I was really thrilled to check out the new store.

Unlike the stores I've been to before, this new store was really modern and easy to shop! They have a super large and spacious floor within a two-storied building, with the main level featuring all clothing items white the basement area sells non-apparel goods such as furniture, books, kitchen supplies, and etc... Everything is very nicely categorized and placed. It totally helped me to find exactly what I wanted to shop for.  I felt like I was in a store at the mall or something!

Here are what I got at the shop:

A vintage Diet Coke t-shirt

GAP denim shorts

A denim midi skirt

Several gold accessories (A necklace & 4 bracelets)

A patent belt,

A DKNY yellow tank

A set of Adidas sports bra and running shorts

Isn't it amazing how much I was able to scored? And guess what! I could still buy more within my budget!

I decided to choose the vintage t-shirt and denim shorts to create a boho-inspired look. Because it was hot like yesterday, I knotted the hem of the t-shirt so that it acts like a cropped top and allows my tammy to feel the breeze. I also rolled up and tacked the sleeves to turn it into a sleeveless top. Believe it or not, it gives a big change to keep cooler. Paring some major essential pieces of the boho style was the key and final touch for this look: a floppy brimmed hat, fringed cross-body bag, a dangling ear cuff, and a plenty of bracelets plus arm cuffs.

I hope you enjoyed how I styled my new items from Goodwill, and please check out

the new store in Capitol Hill

if you live around the area! Stay tuned for the future looks of how I mix up my other picks!

Stay cool, and enjoy your day!

 Hi LOVEs!!!
I hope that you had an amazing weekend! It's about time to ready for the next weekend. Only a few left this summer -- make them count! For some time now, I've longed to work again with one of my beloved friends and most talented photographers I know in Seattle, Eric. He had been taking a break from pressing the shutters, (Yes, I'd been very sad...) but he recently decided to get back on in the saddle and resume photography! The moment he responded to my request for a photoshoot with a 'Yes, let's do it', I was so excited! As always, I had a lot of pleasurable moments shooting with him. So glad to create some magic with him again!

As a perfect backdrop for this outfit, he took me to one of the popular spots in Seattle known for capturing the Seattle's spectacular views. When we got there, we were right on time to come across a beautiful sunset. I was literally speechless for a little while....

I think the last time I wore these jeans was like a decade ago. Yeah... it's summer, it's better to wear shorts or sundress to keep it cool, and I totally agree with that. But you know it's always fun to change the things up, right? (Of course in a good way!) I really like this summer look with these skinny jeans! Since they are low-rise, it makes the top look like a crop top, showing a little bit of skin around my tummy, and letting in a bit of a breeze.  I also hadn't worn these beautiful pumps for a long time, and they always make me incredibly happy. I can't just get enough of shoes that give a plenty amount of height yet are very comfortable to walk around!
Because the top is blue stripes, I styled it up with a gorgeous "Deep Blue Sea" necklace! I am very fascinated that a single statement necklace can instantly add such an impact to an outfit. If you live in the Seattle area, I highly recommend checking out Bad Kitty Accessories in Southcenter Mall. They are a very new jewelry store, but they carry a vast selection of wonderful pieces that surely add that WOW to your look. As a case in point, my necklace is from Bad Kitty Accessories and you can't deny its effect! <3

To speak a little bit about a hairstyle, the 'pompadour ponytail' is an easy yet versatile hairstyle for summer. It makes a simple ponytail look dressed-up, is flattering to most face shapes, and most amazingly, helps you avoid the heat around your neck while looking elegant! If you are tired of your everyday ponytail and are looking for a little twist, it is also a perfect updo that is not too complicated!!

I hope you enjoyed how I wore jeans in this summer look!
Have a lovely Tuesday

Hi LOVEs!!!!
Finally Seafair Torch Parade is over! (If you read the previous article or keep updated on my Instagram/Facebook, you know that I was performing the parade as a flag performer!) Even though I really miss my team and those crazy practices on the weekends, it's time for me to get back to the blogger life!!

As much as I love colors, I still love wearing monotone colors very much! And why not wearing them during summer? The basic colors never fail to be fashionable! And this time, I wanted to mix it up with a sporty vibe! I actually wore this look for a lead flag practice, yet I wanted to create something that is totally wearable on a daily basis. Sportswear as a fashion trend has been definitely enlarging for the past few years and even evolving as the years past. I personally feel that you can effortlessly achieve the trend by just throwing on a simple key item. I love seeing people making it to a sleek, sophisticated and luxurious ensemble which is far from the actual meaning of "sporty or athletic!" I am also fascinated that it could be a sex appeal, can form a very amazing laid-back look, and can even make an elegant and chic look.

I've been in love with this baseball cap and these faux leather short pants ever since I've owned, and can't stop wearing them! These are some of the perfect pieces to upgrade a sporty-inspired look! A baseball cap is currently my summer essential, especially for a bear-face day to cover my skins from the sunshine. I can't not resist anything that is practical yet so stylish! To accentuate a sportif mix,  I paired it with these awesome lace-up booties (They are super comfy!) A stripe crop top is very playful and helped me keep it cool from the heat! I love how the silver accessories perfectly go with this look. Not too bold, yet not too boring.

How do you want to wear the sportswear trend in the remaining summer?

P.S. I was totally speechless to see a breathtaking sunset during the photoshoot! I need to go there more since I now live closer!!!!
