Hi LOVEs!
It kind of feels like a relief that the shopping madness is finally overrrr! I think this year I shopped more than usual, but it's okay I have no regrets. I would rather feel happy to score most of the things I wanted to get my hands on from my wishlist! My wallet is so light, though! How did your shopping go??
Now that this year only has one month left, isn't it crazy how fast time flies? Although I am still not getting used to this crisp air yet, I love the feeling of bundling all up in a cozy knit and chunky scarf! In addition to that, fur vests and OTK boots are one of my favorite winter items to wear! Fur vests are super versatile and are easy to layer with almost everything even outerwear like a biker jacket and duster coat. OTK boots are definitely seasonal must-haves because they can make your look effortlessly chic and fun, plus the layering options are endless! Don't forget that they are also great pieces for perfect holiday & party looks!
So I styled them to create a chic and feminine ensemble by putting together with some of my other favorites - ruffle sleeve blouse, leopard mini skirt, and beret.
In Japan wearing berets is so popular, and I have at least 6 of them already!!! I can't be more excited that  instead of the ultimate winter headwear like fedoras and beanies, berets are having their moment to shine this winter for sure!
Stay warm, dolls!! ♥

Hi LOVEs!!!

It's finally Friday, and I couldn't be happier because the weather is looking like it will be so nice and sunny for the next three days! No more gloomy weather! (for a while at least! )

It's crazy how much the temperature is dropping down day by day.  It's so hard to get out of my bed every morning because it is so snuggly. This chilly weather sometimes drives me nuts, and don't wanna think too much about what I am going to wear for that day. I figured that an easy solution is going for a casual look with a basic combo. But you still want to look chic and fab, of course! This is what I ended up wearing. A plain

white tee

,

leather mini

,

chunky cardigan

, and

OTK boots

-- These are my current go-to basic pieces because they are amazingly versatile items that you could style with almost anything!

To my surprise, I didn't own a

black chunky carding

until recently. And having it in my closet has  seriously been saving my life. I can layer another cardigan underneath, for great chemistry with a cozy scarf, and I really like the oversized silhouette that balances out my short height, especially when I wear flats. Then styling it with a pair of

OTK boots

is totally trendy and on point!

If you are opting for a casual yet fashionable look, make sure to add something eye-catching like a statement necklace, killer sunnies, or pop of color. Imagine this look without these gorgeous

statement necklaces

(yes, I double-layered! ), it would end up as a completely plain outfit. I also decided to elevate my look with my new

cat-eye sunnies from Polette

and my all-time favorite

NARS red lips

. Not only are they a great finishing touch, but I also covered my too-tired-from-yesterday face. It's a double win!

Don't forget to use "AIKAS20" at

Mirina Collections

for gorgeous statement necklaces! Their necklaces are just so perfect right now for a party occasion or a holiday gift for any woman!

Hope you have a wonderful & fun weekend ahead, beauties!

Hi LOVEs! Happy Humpday!

Ever since I started my love affair with fashion, styling has been my biggest interest. This is especially important for me, since my body type makes it challenging to make the looks stunning due to my body structure (big face, long torso, and short legs). So how I put everything together is super crucial. Eekk, Being short can be a struggle! Plus, I was raised in a very strict family and was the oldest child, which meant I didn't get much allowance to shop for clothes when I was in teenager. Still, I didn't want to wear the same outfits over and over, so re-styling the same pieces and building a completely different look using what I had in my closet was my only solution.  I was truly fascinated with how styling could double my outfit options! Possibly more?

Over the last few weeks, I have been sharing how to style a body-con dress ( Isn't the lace detail amazing?!) This is the final installment! You can check

the first

,

second

, and

third look

if interested.

For the

4th look

, I went for preppy chic, using the dress as a skirt. This time, I opted for more grown-up and sophisticated look. I paired the dress with my seasonal all-time favorite piece: a

turtleneck sweater.

It is one of the perfect winter pieces and must-haves because of its versatility and you can effortlessly bundle up! I literally wear it every other day! haha

I love wearing anything with burgundy color in winter. It's not as bright as red, yet the wine color gives a nice ladylike flair. Also, the hue polishes off any look very nicely and sleekly, so I wore the burgundy fedora and OTK boots to complete the ensemble. Since I couldn't tuck the turtleneck in, I decided to tie a belt around my waist for more flattering effect.

Topping it off with a statement necklace is always a great idea!

I hope you like how I styled the dress, and hopefully you've got some inspiration of how you can style your own dress by switching out other pieces from your wardrobe! Pick up some oldies to put together! They will appreciate you for bringing their life back again! :)

Comment below to share which one is your favorite!

Wishing you all a wonderful and productive day!

Hi LOVEs!!! I hope your week has been going awe-some so far!!! <3

Who loves '(faux) leather'??  ME! Who adores 'overalls'?? ME! So who's more than happy if they are all combined? Yes, me! lol

I am so pleased to now own one of the pieces I've been having my eyes on, which is a

faux leather overall dress

! I got it from a cool online store called

Petit Sesame

, where you can buy a wide selection of luxury yet affordable designer items.

This overall dress is simply so cute because I can be effortlessly chic once I put it on. These straps are adjustable so it can fit perfectly on any girl, even like myself as a petite gal. I appreciate it has pockets (Three!), so I could just wear it for running errands or getting a quick coffee with my phone and credit card or cash, while remaining little stylish :)

I wanted to go for a completely winter preppy chic, so I styled it with a navy striped turtle neck and

over-the-knee boots

. These items are always perfect to achieve a preppy look during this season! Then, I put on a gray beret hat with hair tucked in the sweater to play up the vibe. Even though it was pretty warm on the day I wore this look, I needed an outerwear for a chill night. I chose my pastel biker jacket to brighten up the mostly all-black look and also match with my

new icy blue mini bag

! I just can't get over when my jacket and a bag are complementing their color with each other.

I can't wait for a warmer wether to style this overall dress showing off my skins more!

Petit Sesame

is now offering up to 80% off right now, so don't miss this perfect time to snag some of fab designers item including my

lovely faux overall dress

!

I hope you like/love how I styled it!

Hi LOVEs!!!!
You noticed from the pictures that they are quite old ones. But, I am so happy I finally found sets of images that were taken back in 2012 as I was preparing for moving out! Moving is seriously such a pain in the butt!!! However, one thing I love the most about it is I always find something that I've been looking for yet there was no clue where I should look for. haha Does that happen to you??

If you have been reading my blog back in 2012, you might remember I did 'style challenge,' which I created 5 different looks with totally different vibes by using a lace detailed dress from Tracyeinny, a Singapore clothing line. I did this because I wanted to share with you how styling will help you grow your wardrobe without buying any item. Every girl has a night dress in her closet and everyone can definitely transform it into daily looks with just a little styling skills.
You can check the first and second look from here and here, and the picture below is a lineup of the 5 looks. I am going to show you the remained 2 looks in the next few weeks along with my current daily ensembles!!

As for the third look, I really wanted to achieve a cute & classy yet casual style, and my inspiration was from Japan. So I picked three inspired items to go for the look: Obi belt, kimono cardigan, and over-the-knee socks, and I added a pair of black platform pumps to merge the color of the sock so that it crates the magic of  having longer legs.  I styled my hair softly curled the bottom for an extra feminine touch and parted my bang in the middle and pinned it on the side. I will say this could be a cute Friday-night- happy- hour look with besties or you call it whatever you want!

Happy Hump day angels!!

Hi LOVEs!!! Happy Monday!
Today, I am showing off a combo that is currently a favorite of mine. Can you guess which items make up that combo? Yes, a fur coat, skinny jeans, and over-the-knee boots. I've been seriously obsessed with this super adorable fur coat I snagged on sale a few months ago at ZARA, and I practically can't take it off. Then, I got these thigh-high OTN boots recently from JustFab. I once saw how flattering the skinny jeans and OTN boots combo was on Olivia Palermo, so I definitely wanted to try if for myself. I LOVED IT!

Sometimes, I am eager to put simple pieces together to make a look that is greter than the sum of its parts. Like simply throwing on a sweater and wearing a pair of jeans. Of course, I still wanna keep things stylish. I believe these OTN boots are the magic component of this look, and you can also layer up with them on, so even better!! You can never go wrong with OTN boots!!! <3 I chose my beloved heart printed light knit (it's gifted from my dearest mom!!! ) to go with the ensemble.

When I wore this look, it was a perfect sunny day, which made it feel as if it was spring. So I wanted to enjoy the feeling by adding this newly added ice-blue mini bag from JustFab. I always adore anything in the pastel color-block, and I am so pleased with how I played things up with the fur coat and the bag. I decided to stick with a pink color palette for accessories and makeup to match the fur coat: Pink earrings, pink eye shadow and pink lipstick.

Hope you had an amazing weekend and cheers to a new month!

Hi LOVEs!!!!

Hope your new week kicked off well! I was feeling under the weather yesterday, so mine started not as I expected staying at home whole day, but that helped me charge up a lot to go through this crazy busy week!

I think you know me now that my style is very unique and versatile influenced by American culture and Japanese culture where I am originally from. And my style goal is to pull off any kind of outfits from grunge and rock to chic and feminine. Since my hair is silver now, I wanted to take advantage of it to go for a grunge look again, which I haven't dressed up for a long time! I wore this look as my #OOTN for going out with my friends, but I realized it definitely works for a day look!

Plaid items are always perfect to create a grunge/rock style and can't get enough of how they can instantly add a pop of color to the look! Luckily I had this super lovely plaid peacoat! It's old but I can't get rid of this old cute number! So I created this look around it. I am a kind of girl who wears shorts during winter. Yes, some people probably call me crazy. Yet if you layer with tights and over the knee socks, you rock on! To emphasize the vibe, I purposely put on a suspender hanging down and paired with chunky platform shoes with lots of silver jewelry! I picked

wide brimmed hat recently got from

Romwe

and

dark toned red lip glaze from

AVEDA

as my finishing touch!

Do you like grunge looks?

Have a wonderful day beauties! ♥
