Hi LOVEs!!!
Hope you had a wonderful weekend! I went to Bite of Seattle with my Japanese bestie on Saturday, and I had a lot of fun enjoying the festival even though I didn't get to try out what I wanted to. Have you guys been to? Then I ended my Saturday watching the new Terminator: Genisys and Oh EM GEE! I LOVED IT! I was such a big fan of the series from my childhood and I can't wait to see the rest of them! I totally recommend to watch it before it's gone!

I am starting off this week with another swimwear look that I am more than excited to share with you guys!! Unlike the bikini from the previous post, this one from Fly Nation is much more sleek, sophisticated, and matured. Black bikinis are always on point, but this one with the string design around the chest and side hips is what makes a head-turner piece! You know I am all about details! Then, I styled it with a dramatic drapy cover up which is also from Fly Nation. I seriously can't get over its beauty, and my eyes become heart shaped when the wind blows as the cover up breathtakingly flows in the air! My new photographer friend Sarah did such an amazing job capturing the moments, and we are so stoked about how the images turned out! They look like editorial-looking bikini shots!

Fly Nation is currently offering a BIG sale and you can get pretty bikinis like mine only at $20! Don't miss out this awesome deal and let's get the bikini party started this weekend!! ♥

Hi LOVEs!!!!!
After coming back from Portland for a quick mini trip, I decided to do another short trip to D.C. with my friend! How exciting!!! One of my resolutions this year is to travel as much as I can. It feels so great to check this off from my list within half a year!! I didn't expect to do two trips in one month, either! I will stay in DC for only 4 nights, but it will be A TON OF FUN! Last Sunday one of my fans sent me a snap asking whether or not I am doing a meet & greet in D.C.! It literally brought me to tears because I seriously thought that this type of thing would only happen after I became a BIG blogger, like Kayture and The Blond Salad! But guys.... this is actually happening! Even more excited to go to D.C. now!

Alright, on to today's look! I got this khaki tee from ZARA, and it's been one of my stable pieces since then! It's so comfy and the color will never go out of style. There are so many ways to style a simple tee from casual to sophisticated. I love switching things up from regular black or white tees to this khaki one. Even though I am almost 30, (Yes! I am hitting 29 this November! ) I am still in love with wearing a denim mini skirt during summer, especially when I get tired of wearing denim shorts. So I put them together with a beaded belt as an accent. This combo definitely works well as-is, but I threw on a boyfriend blazer for a more polished look. I've been wearing these killer sporty-inspired sandals I snagged recently from JustFab, and I was blown away by how they can go with any look! Such an amazing pair to create a color-blocking ensemble or simply for a pop of color!

Make sure to follow me along on Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat (@fashionsitaika) for D.C. fun!
Have a wonderful Tuesday, cuties!

Hi LOVEs!
I don't keep track of how many times I've mentioned this, but I am a serious sucker for shoes!!! Recently I snagged a perfect pair of summer sandals that completely stole my heart. I am wearing them in today's post and got them from JustFab! Do I have to tell you how gorgeous these are? I am in love with anything that mixes the sexy and sporty vibes, and these sandals have everything -- mesh insets, fun cuts, and open back counter. What I love the most about this pair is that they give me a super flattering profile on my legs! You can wear them from day to night and effortlessly go with any look!

For today, I styled a look that has a feminine touch by pairing an off shoulder crop top and midi skirt. Off-the-shoulder tops are so pretty and trendy right now and if you need a right amount of sex appeal, they add subtlety by showing off your decolletage. If you are petite like myself, it's a great top you should have in your closet, especially in seasons where you don't need any outerwear to cover it!

JustFab is having a MAJOR memorial day sale with 50% off site wide. If you like the pieces I am wearing as much as I do, you can get them for only $19.98! How amazing!
I wish you a wonderful memorial day!

It's spring, time to get intrigued with floral prints.

Hi LOVEs!!! Happy Friday!!!
One of the favorite things in spring is definitely to enjoy a day with a pretty view of blooming flowers wherever I go. At a park, neighbors, and random streets. Literally everywhere. Yesterday while I was running a little errands, I came across adorable cuties on the way. So I had to stop and took a snap of it! This little happiness always gives me a positive vibe and puts a big smile on my face naturally.

Wearing floral prints is another way to amuse myself with the season. And these 70's inspired floral printed pants are absolutely on point! The color is so uplifting, the fabrics are so stretch that I feel like I am wearing a pj, and I love the big flower prints! The lengths are flattering for petites even though you have to wear a pair of platforms, which I don't mind that at all. Yay to longer legs! I paired them with a simple black cropped top to make the pants pop and also to show a bit of skin for a great amount of sexiness. I wore this on Easter so I added pastel blue mini bag to celebrate the holiday.

As the weather gets warmer, I opt to play with my hair like top buns, ponytails, or side braids...The options are endless and it's actually somewhat significant to style your hair because one look can be changeable depending on your hairstyles! Whenever my whole face is showed, adding a pair of statement earrings is a must.  Recently JJ Caprices gifted these gorgeous jeweled earrings when I had a meeting with her and I instantly fell in love with them. Too lovely to take them off! Loving the color-blocking action going with crystals and silver accents!! Her boutique offers one-of-a-kind pieces, and that makes me feel even special to wear these earrings! I highly recommend to visit her store if you love amazing, unique and handmade jewelry around the world.
Don't forget to enjoy a special code, "AIKASLOVECLOSET" for 15% off of your order!
Also, she is having a special trunk show on April 25th at Hotel Max featuring global finds and new arrivals from over 10+ countries including Turkey, Italy, Israel, Peru, Costa Rica, France, India and more. So if you are in the city, come check out her newly added pieces and grab a special gift for your mom! :)

Hi LOVEs!!! Happy Monday!
Today, I am showing off a combo that is currently a favorite of mine. Can you guess which items make up that combo? Yes, a fur coat, skinny jeans, and over-the-knee boots. I've been seriously obsessed with this super adorable fur coat I snagged on sale a few months ago at ZARA, and I practically can't take it off. Then, I got these thigh-high OTN boots recently from JustFab. I once saw how flattering the skinny jeans and OTN boots combo was on Olivia Palermo, so I definitely wanted to try if for myself. I LOVED IT!

Sometimes, I am eager to put simple pieces together to make a look that is greter than the sum of its parts. Like simply throwing on a sweater and wearing a pair of jeans. Of course, I still wanna keep things stylish. I believe these OTN boots are the magic component of this look, and you can also layer up with them on, so even better!! You can never go wrong with OTN boots!!! <3 I chose my beloved heart printed light knit (it's gifted from my dearest mom!!! ) to go with the ensemble.

When I wore this look, it was a perfect sunny day, which made it feel as if it was spring. So I wanted to enjoy the feeling by adding this newly added ice-blue mini bag from JustFab. I always adore anything in the pastel color-block, and I am so pleased with how I played things up with the fur coat and the bag. I decided to stick with a pink color palette for accessories and makeup to match the fur coat: Pink earrings, pink eye shadow and pink lipstick.

Hope you had an amazing weekend and cheers to a new month!

Hi LOVEs!
So...today is actually the official day of fall!!!! Whoo hoo! Are you guys all excited? It's time for a lot of layers and Spice Pumpkin Latte and Salted Caramel Mocha! (My favorite coffee for the season!) Oh and you can't forget about hats, too! Well... at least to me!
I can't believe that we only have few more months left this year, I feel like I just celebrated 2014 a couple of months ago. Time definitely flies, but let's enjoy each moment of your life with smiles <3

Today's look is something that I've always wanted to try for a long time, but it seemed to never happen till now!
Yes, ALL BLACK ensemble!
Since Fashion Week is still going on, and that keeps me so excited thinking of what I would want to wear even though I obviously can't go. Then, this looks was came up in mind as I was looking through for some inspirations, and I love it so much!
You know, I am more of a color-lover, but an all black ensemble never lets you look unstylish and adds a lot of sophistication and edginess. On top of that, I RARELY wear flats, so another new thing here is 'how to rock in them.' To achieve that, I tried to draw attention away from my short legs by wearing a hat and a cropped top and showing off a bit of my stomach. Also wearing all black or same hues helps to create "I line" silhouette to look slimmer and elongate your leg lines. A pop of color is always a great addition to compliment your look. I decided to pair it with this gorgeous statement drop earrings (They are really heavy by the way, but that's not discouraging me to wear them at all!) and my current favorite fall red lips, SANDRA from NARS Audacious Lipstick collection.

I hope I can try all black attires again this fall and winter because it's just really fun to put together! How would you rock the outfit?

On my personal note, I am going to Robert Leonard Salon & Spa this afternoon to get my hair done and also to try out other severs they offer! I am sooooo thrilled for the new change of myself, just in time for the season change! In case you wonder, please follow me on Instagram to see what will happen there!

Have a lovely day, sweeties

Hi LOVEs!

I have been so inspired by all the different looks people are coming up with for Fashion Weeks, and even though I couldn't attend any of them (one day for sure, thought!!), this outfit is one I would definitely want to rock! It's bright, bold and surely a head-turner.

I actually have done

the all cobalt blue look during last summer

, and I absolutely loved how it came out. So I decided to try another one with a totally different vibe, using the same top, which I am so very fond of. In addition to that, '

Bright Color

' is one of the top F/W trends I am intrigued by. You can't miss if you try it out!

None of the pieces are new here besides this gorgeous pendant necklace. I really love wearing the new seasonal items and I get excited just to find them online or in stores. But, there is nothing wrong with oldies, so if you have something you really adore and think that you can wear it all time, then go for it!!! I pulled everything out of my closet to achieve this bold and vivid hues ensemble. I was debating on a skirt style or pants style. Since I wanted to create an elevated and more classical touch, I decided to go for wide leg pants.

Sadly enough , I have short legs which makes it harder to pull of wide leg pants. However, I am always up for challenges and always want to explore new solutions to these problems. That's when I came across a great way to wear them, especially if you have short legs like mine: paring the platform sky-high shoes! The higher, the better! (a wink emoji!)

I added a shocking orange tote bag to compliment the whole look, and wow... the combination of bright blue and bright orange! I have never done it previously, yet it totally worked! I can't wait to try more bold color styles in the upcoming months!

Although I said I couldn't attend any of Fashion Weeks, I am more than happy and thrilled to go to

Downtown Seattle Rocks the Runway

, Seattle's biggest fall fashion show, this coming Saturday! It will be a blast, without a doubt, and I am super ready to get inspired by all the collections I will witness! Don't forget to

follow me on Instagram

for the on-the-go moments!

Have a lovely Tuesday cuties!

Hi LOVEs!!!!
Did you remember I posted an outfit wearing a gingham print dress last week? I mentioned that it was actually a skirt, and here is the look that I am wearing it as-is.
Compared to the look as a dress, this is more elegant and mature, which is my initial plan because I wanted to show you how you can rock the trend print and also how you can wear a midi skirt in two ways with completely different vibes!

I am so glad to finally get my hands on this cute off-shoulder white crop top and add it to my closet! I don't have many high-waisted bottoms that go with crop tops, but I am really getting into them this year, and this one has everything! Thanks to the color, it can go with any look without trouble, plus it showing of the shoulder and back part gives a nice feminine touch instantly. Also, it still has sleeves! (you know why!) I really like how the delicate jewelry like this custom handmade name necklace from Fashionista Problems compliments the collarbone area with the crop top. ASOS has a great selection of this type of cropped top (called Bardot Top) and I will guarantee that you will love it as much as I do if you get one!
I styled the look with a pair of my new floral print heeled sandals to add some colors on my feet. To me, gingham print really reminds me of picnic because my mom always brought gingham checked table cloth when we went to picnic. So that kind of made me decide to go for a mini woven bag!

I hope you like both looks, and I'd love to hear which look you liked more, as a dress or as a skirt? Comment below!
Have a good one sweeties!

Hi LOVEs! Happy Monday!!
Back in March, I was warmly invited to an 1.State launch party. I'd never heard of the brand before, but it didn't take long to fall in love with their splendid line. I am a sucker for SPORTY trends this year. I think I've mentioned that countless times. I really embrace their sporty-inspired pieces, and they are quite a new brand and are a contemporary sportswear collection that launched exclusively at Nordstrom this year. I am impressed with how they integrate the femininity and sport motif into the collection, and their collection is mostly simple, yet has a feeling of modernness, architectural-highlights and is sleek with novelty textiles. So, I am more than happy that I can collaborate with them again to show you my favorite picks from their new spring/summer collection! I have actually shown other pieces already last week, featuring ALL WHITE ensemble!

The zigzag tweed halter A line dress is very elegant from the back with a little peeking around the neck while it has a playful touch from the front because of the zigzag prints. I love this print shifting because I can't get enough of a piece that helps me look fab all the way around. Even though the dress was a XS size, the length wasn't very loving. In a fashion world, there IS always a solution! I added a neon belt to tackle up to modify the length. Totally worked! Also, I could match with the neon strap heels! I think matchy-matchy accessories are fun and striking! And who said that you CAN'T rock a tweed piece in summer? This dress is such a perfect summer classic dress!
The white crepe zip moto jacket is another great piece I chose.  You have no idea how much I love this moto jacket. To my surprise, I hadn't had a white jacket (BIG SAD!) and this year I really wanted to hunt a perfect jacket that could be worn until early fall.  I've been wearing this jacket over and over because it can go with any outfit! Although the weather is pretty sunny these days in Seattle, after the night approaches, it gets very chilly. I hate freezing, but thanks to the jacket that worry is gone now. It is light weight, so it doesn't bother me carrying it around AT ALL! So happy to have this amazing jacket now in my closet!

If you want to get your hands on these amazing pieces, lucky you! Go check HERE at Nordstrom!! or click the link above on the outfit details for the direct links! I hope you like their line as much as I do!

Have a lovely day!

Hi LOVEs!
I hope your week went well! :) Hooray for the weekend!
As you may have noticed already, in this photoshoot I am wearing NO HEELS!!!  It's super unusual for me because I hate being short. On top of that, without heels, my legs don't benefit from the elongating effect, and appear shorter! :( However, as a fashion/style blogger, I'd always had a feeling that I really wanted to step out of my comfort zone and share some 'no-heel-looks' because I know there are so many people out there who also may be self-conscious about their short legs but have the desire to wear flats sometimes.
So when CAT FOOTWEAR reached out to me for a collaboration, I immediately picked up these oxford shoelys that you should definitely own in your closet. I really like that they are vintage-inspired looking and at the same time, they have a tom-boy vibe. More importantly, they are amazingly comfortable!
To be honest with you, I was having a very hard time deciding on an outfit that looks good with these, while  remaining stylish and not making me feel inferior about wearing flats. After several styling changes, I finally was able to find the perfect outfit which became today's look.

Whenever I wear low heels or flats, I always try to put on a hat to draw your gaze upward, or do a bun style to add some extra height. Also I styled a pair of simple skinny jeans and printed shirt so that I could move the viewer's gaze up away from my lower half. It is also key to wear matching hues to elongate your body. Initially, I didn't want to add a belt because it would divide my torso and legs. Still, I wanted to play with some bright colors so I chose the neon yellow belt to go with the vivid orange bag.

Generally, any look with flats is considered to be an easy and comfy outfit. Well to me, definitely yes! I don't think I would ever want to wear them to non-casual occasions. However, I really like how this look turned out to be not-too-casual ensemble by accessorizing with the gold jewelry and curled hair style!

Hope you like how I styled the oxford shoes! I'd like to know how you wear them so feel free to comment below to share your thoughts! :) If you like those pairs, you can get them from HERE, too!

Hopefully, you'll have awesome plans for the weekend! ♥

Hi LOVEs! Happy April <3

This week was April Fool's... Did you trick your friend somehow?? lol  It's so funny how I've seen every year on Facebook that at least one friend will change his/her status to be in a relationship and I totally believe it! And yes... I fell for an 'April Fool' lie again this year! :p

I am so glad that now we can enjoy the recent beautiful weather in Seattle! No more gloomy and rainy days! (not all the time of course! It's STILL Seattle...) You know, I am from Japan where there are  4 distict seasons, so experiencing the change of seasons really reminds me of Japan. Omg... I can't believe that it's been almost 5 years since I last went back to Japan. Around this time, the streets are filled with amazing blooms of cherry blossoms, and the scenery is just SPECTACULAR! I miss doing 'hanami' too (literal meaning in English is "flower viewing" - it's the Japanese traditional custom of enjoying the transient beauty of cherry blossom with delicious food and drinks!)
The day I shot this outfit was a super lovely day... I could not stop dancing like a kid! It was so breathtaking how clear the azure sky was. I got this pastel yellow shorts suit within the last year, and the preasure of wearing a suit still continues this year. I shared a fall outfit featuring this suit with some layers. Now it's time to wear it alone!

I actually wore this look to a launch party, so I wanted to go for a dress-up style. I paired it with a black floral sheer top that could match these fabulous lace-up heels from Windsor! These heels are definitely must-haves for spring and summer to instantly add a big impact to your look.
When it came to choose some jewelry to finish the look, I chose a crystal necklace and transparent earrings to add extra sparkles!  I think they beautifully frame my face. I can't get enough of this black satchel bag that I took the strap off of to use as both hand bag and clutch! It's big enough to hold my long wallet and other necessities, yet it doesn't appear overly big. It's deceptively practical and just an awesome bag that you should have in your closet.

I am hoping to get another multi-piece suit soon this spring! <3
I am so excited to enjoy tonight at my FIRST EVER event in downtown Seattle! :)

Hi LOVEs!!! Happy weekends! :)

Here in Seattle, we finally have amazingly beautiful weather that makes us feel like "spring is just around the corner!!" While I love winter's snow, bundling up with layers and layers, and wrapping in blankets,  I also love the colors of spring, feeling the summer sunshine, and waking up with the beautiful sunlight. Compared to Japanese weather during spring and summer, Seattle is just insanely AMAZING... To me it's breathtaking.... The clear blue sky continuously spreads out so beautifully, the winds are so fresh and clear, and I can literally "smell' the summer breeze... Ummmmm picturing them in my head is just as thrilling, and I can't wait for that!!!

Today's outfit is all about the spring colors! How lovely are these floral purple pants? They are from ZAMRIE, who has launched a brand new website along with a brand new collection for 2014! I teamed up with them to showcase their collection and I picked these fabulous pants! Not only are the colors are great for spring, they are also really comfortable fitting. Because of my height, I am not a big fan of a wide-length pant, yet these are surprisingly good for petite people with platform shoes! So if you have been looking for perfect wide pants for spring and summer and haven't spotted them yet, these are what you should go for! It's also available in two different colors: Peach & Blue.
The brand creator, Ashley Zygmunt, decided to introduce a season-less approach to design and abandon the status quo "SS/FW" norm. She wants women to experiment with new fashion finds without discarding staid classics and have the flexibility to wear them year round.
I really appreciate her will because these pants are definitely wearable for girls of  any height, like I mentioned earlier and proved by how I styled them as a petite. They absolutely could be worn during the fall and winter time with knits and layers for outerwear!!

Besides the spring colors, floral prints are also big trend for SS. So I wanted to mix up more floral items to nicely go with the pants. I decided to team with a bright pink top and flower print shirt underneath. Then I picked my new statement crystal flower motif necklace that I got from Buffalo Exchange and a pair of pretty flower earrings as if they are matching pieces. It was still chilly without a jacket or coat so I threw on a brilliant red colored coat (It was only$4 at a thrift store, btw! What a score!) to add extra color hues. I haven't worn color-blocking outfits in a long time, and I really love how I achieved it with my spring-inspired look. This black cross-body bag is my current favorite of all my bag collections. I found it at JustFab.com, and it's perfect for any occasion. Plus, you can use it in multiple ways - obviously as a cross-body bag, a shoulder bag, a handbag by taking off the strap, and a clutch. I love a bag with an affordable price, that doesn't look cheap or poor quality, and can be enjoyed because of its versatility!

I am totally obsessed with floral print trend. It's pretty and feminine, so you can never go wrong with floral!  You will be seeing me a lot in the trend this spring and summer, so hopefully you can get some inspiration from whatever I wear as I show you how you can rock the trend!

Have a wonderful and stylish weekend sweeties!

In past interview about me and my fashion,  the first few question I was always asked were 'how would you describe your style?' and 'what is your fashion/style inspiration?" I would quickly answer these questions with: "my style is "diverse and versatile." Ever since fashion became party of my life, I have been inspired by the variety around me.
Of course, I receive the most inspiration from the environments that I live in. Japan is a world innovator in fashion, with tons of independent and home-grown styles seen on the streets of Tokyo, as you may be aware... Although I didn't dress in all of these styles, I used to check our many of the fashion magazines and became familiar with the specifically features the particular fashion styles. Some were really crazy to me and not quite my style, but I still studied from  for inspiration. Then, I came to America, which is considered to contain one of the most diverse populations in the world. The fashions of so many cultures come together here in America. I believe my fashion is heavily inspired by both American and Japanese cultures, and so crating my own individualized look from these two influences has become my signature style.

With that in mind, unlike the previous post, today's outfit is totally different, isn't it? Once in a while, I love dressing up in a style inspired by Punks, Club Kids, and Street fashion. I got my inspiration from a Boy London style to achieve today's outfit featuring Dress To Kill Miami. I was ecstatic that they asked to work with me because they carry the styles that I love. In this outfit, I am wearing their Girls Just Wanna Have Fun tee & Lonton Trash Ceres Zebra Calfhair Heels. No doubt these instantly became my favorite pieces. I normally wear size Small, but I picked Medium to wear it oversized. Even still, it fits me just right!!! No explanation is needed for these kick-ass shoes. They are now the tallest and craziest shoes I have in my closet! lol I am a big shoe fan, and I am especially crazy about platforms. The elastic bands across the top of my foot (or vamp) give the right amount of sex appeal, too!

If you keep an eye on what is trending, then you know what the next big hit will be this spring and summer, right? Yes, SPORTY!!!! A handful of spring collections on runways channeled a SPORTIF touch fused by modern fashion, and I can't simply ignore the trends. It's too cool not to try it and super easy to achieve!!! So I went with these leather jog shorts and a men's backpack and accessorized in a studded gray beanie by Shop Chic Stud LA and gold accessories. Wearing the white lace sleeve top underneath of the T-shirt completely topped off the look and is great way to add that touch of femininity that can sometimes be lacking in street fashion.

So why not try your own hand at styling it up?
