Hi LOVEs! How was your weekend?

I

previously shared a look

with this

black romper

and I promised that I would post another look demonstrating how you can transition a summer staple piece into a fall-appropriate look. So here you go!

As you can see, the leaves are turing into brilliant reds and oranges, the wind is getting chilly, and everywhere you look there is "pumpkin spice." The change of the season means also a time for reorganizing the wardrobe. I love how my mind also feels cleared out after getting rid of unused items, while welcoming new seasonal clothes to my closet. In my closet clean-up, there are A L W A Y S pieces that I can't get rid of even if I am sure that I won't be wearing them as often. This salmon pink oversized blazer is actually one of them.

I am so pleased that I've kept it for a long time because it actually goes so well with the romper. The blazer also makes the romper wearable during the fall season. I don't know if the color is trendy enough, yet it gives a nice touch of playfulness into the look.

In addition to this blazer, these

leopard booties

are also a few years old. I don't think I can say BYE to them until I find a better pair. You know, leopard prints are always a great choice to add a little pop to any outfit!

Do you have anything that you have kept in your closet for a long time, but you find it's actually still working after all the years?

Sending a wish for a great start to the new week!!

Hi LOVEs!!!!!
After coming back from Portland for a quick mini trip, I decided to do another short trip to D.C. with my friend! How exciting!!! One of my resolutions this year is to travel as much as I can. It feels so great to check this off from my list within half a year!! I didn't expect to do two trips in one month, either! I will stay in DC for only 4 nights, but it will be A TON OF FUN! Last Sunday one of my fans sent me a snap asking whether or not I am doing a meet & greet in D.C.! It literally brought me to tears because I seriously thought that this type of thing would only happen after I became a BIG blogger, like Kayture and The Blond Salad! But guys.... this is actually happening! Even more excited to go to D.C. now!

Alright, on to today's look! I got this khaki tee from ZARA, and it's been one of my stable pieces since then! It's so comfy and the color will never go out of style. There are so many ways to style a simple tee from casual to sophisticated. I love switching things up from regular black or white tees to this khaki one. Even though I am almost 30, (Yes! I am hitting 29 this November! ) I am still in love with wearing a denim mini skirt during summer, especially when I get tired of wearing denim shorts. So I put them together with a beaded belt as an accent. This combo definitely works well as-is, but I threw on a boyfriend blazer for a more polished look. I've been wearing these killer sporty-inspired sandals I snagged recently from JustFab, and I was blown away by how they can go with any look! Such an amazing pair to create a color-blocking ensemble or simply for a pop of color!

Make sure to follow me along on Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat (@fashionsitaika) for D.C. fun!
Have a wonderful Tuesday, cuties!

Hi LOVEs!! Happy Veterans Day!
Hope you kicked off the new week super fabulously!
I don't know if I have ever mentioned it, but I have always been into mens-inspired looks and girl-meets-boy mixups. Unfortunately, I haven't had enough opportunities to show such styles to you (at least not as much as I want), so here you go!

I scored this amazing oversized blazer at Buffalo Exchange last year, and it's been my ultimate favorite during this time of the year. It helps me easily achieve a sophisticated look as soon as I throw it on. I am super petite with narrow shoulders, which makes it difficult to find an ideal blazer that is well-fitting, especially when it comes to an oversized one. So I am glad to have this one and I will keep it forever in my closet! This look was styled with my old wardrobe, which proves that you don't have to get new things to create an on-trend look!
To pull off this masculine-inspired look, I just combines with classic staple items together: white shirt, skinny jeans, and lace-up heels. Oh, and you can't forget to add a fedora hat to compliment the look. That's what makes this look polished! You could swap these heels for a pair of oxford or ankle boots for even more tomboy effect. I personally love mixing things up with heels to add some height to my look. (Just because I really don't want to look short and it's important to make up for my short legs!!!) A few things I always keep in mind when I go for man-like looks is not to forget to add a hint of feminine touch. So this time, I topped off with statement earrings, a pop of red lips and a lavender bag.

I seriously need to start hunting for more cute fedoras to wear this season! Any recommendations of where to shop at?
Have a good one, lovelies ♥

______________

Hi LOVEs! Fall is finally here!
Before I came to the States all by myself - no friends, no relatives - 6 years ago,  I used to easily give up, especially on my dreams. I didn't even try hard to give things a shot. I felt that I couldn't accomplish anything, even if I tried. I didn't have courage and expected that things would only happen if they were meant to be. But you know, that is not right. If you want things to happen, you gotta try and put some effort to make them materialize. After I was here in America on my own for a few years, I slowly yet dynamically changed myself and even my life. I would say it was a 180 degree change.  I became stronger, more courageous, and more ambitious. I gained more self-confidence and I envision that my life is going to be what I want it to be. I try to overcome my fear of doing doing something that might be uncomfortable or that seems to be super new to me.

To be honest with you, it is super hard and tough to pursue my dreams in a foreign country. I've been struggling with many many things and that has brought deep depression on occasion. However, I always strive to push myself to work hard with solid will and strong passion not to be defeated. I am so determined that nothing can stop me. Even though sometimes I amy experience times of negativity, now I feel like I am finally "alive" and I sense that I have my feet on the right path with a clear vision of my destination. Finally, I found how to be "true to myself."
Ever since I decided to pursue my dreams, I have had a lot of mottos in mind to keep myself going, and one of them is definitely... "Don't give up!!!" Although I have had to face innumerable obstacles on the path to chase my dreams, having this quote in my head really helps me to stand up, and as a result I've encountered numerous moments that made me think "This is just too good to be true!" I still can't believe some of the smaller dreams were actually realized already within short periods. Because of that, I can now confidentially say this:
As long as you don't give up, you can make anything happen no matter how long it may take.

With the being said, I am very pleased to get my hands on this tee with such an inspiring quote from Le Motto. I really admire what they believe and what they do:

We believe that words do have power and each tee presents an original personal motto. The fundamental purpose behind the Le Motto Collection is to promote positivity.  With the impact of just a few well-chosen words, it can be enormous! In addition to promoting universal positivity, currently 10% of profits are being allocated to anti-bullying causes.

How amazing is that? Besides the motto I picked, there are more inspirational motto tees available on their site, and of course mens tees are there, too! To style up my tee, I paired it with some major basic items such as a blazer and denim shorts. Yet, it's time to cozy up! I added a rib beanie for a pop of color and a pair of over-the-knee boots! (Oh god, these ones are amazingly comfy, thank you so much Mom!) I finished off by adding a fringe bag for a touch of edginess, and I loved how I rocked it when I folded the bag half and used it as a clutch!

What's is your motto for life?
Thank you very much for stopping by!

Hi LOVEs!
Hope you had a great weekend and that your week has started out well! My weekend was crazy busy because of the SEE Eyewear trunk shows that I hosted (my first time EVER), followed by an in-store brand launch party that I attended at ZEBRA Club!
The SEE Eyewear trunk shows was super duper fun!! I immensely enjoyed the experience while I was there! Like I said, it was my first time to host an event or party; I was very nervous and anxious about how well I would do. However, the SEE Eyewear team was really friendly and great people to work with!  I was also very pleased to see my friends coming to my events. :)
I wore this outfit to my second event!! Just a little note -- I didn't expect that the day would end up freaking cold and rainy so this outfit was not appropriate at all! lol

Since we were celebrating a new spring/summer collection, I wanted to wear something that showcases  both a spring and summer feeling! So, I picked this lovely panama hat as my main statement piece for the whole outfit. I am totally in love with its shape! It took me forever to find the shape that I'd been picturing and it perfectly fit on my head. I think I got it last year, but I haven't had the chance to wear it as often as I wanted to. So I am happy that I could wear it from early spring! I really like combo of the classy and playful vibe in this look. I believe I successfully manged to wear black in a spring look by showing some skin and styling with light colored denim shorts and transparent earrings! Wearing an oversized or long blazer and shorts will be one of my go-to styles for a while. It is definitely easy and quick, but still looks so stylish from any angle. Also I can't wait to get additional mirrored sunglasses this summer just because they are super funky as a cool addition to your ensemble!

What's your current go-to spring style? Do you have any item you're dying to snag?
I went for shopping at ZARA last Saturday after the event and got a bunch of awesome items <3 I can't wait to show them here with my styling!

Hope you all have an amazing Tuesday
