Hi LOVEs!
It's finally Friday and even better, it's Labor Day Weekend!!! Woot Woot! Do you have any awesome plans, sweeties?
First and foremost, thank you all so very much for the lovely and warm messages on the previous post whether you left them on here or on my social channels. It gives me a lot of courage and smiles, and it's good to know that we are all connected somehow and feel like we are not alone!<3

For the last several days in Seattle, the weather dramatically changed! It has been rainy and the temperature has dropped down like crazy! I wore my first cozy knit yesterday, and I totally wasn't ready for that! I still feel like I haven't checked everything off from my summer to-do list yet! I am really excited to share today's look, because it gives a fun summer vibe!
I got such a cute off-shoulder mini dress with lace sleeve details from New Dress, where you can get everything at extremely affordable prices! I was a little bit disappointed when I received this dress, because it is a bit too long. Well, I think it may be because of me, since I am super petite! haha
As always, I added a black belt to adjust the length, and it actually ended up better looking. It looks like a romper! I opted for a pair of lace-up wedge sandals to create an easy, breezy look.  Thanks to the off-shoulder design and lace elements, I love how the entire look is elevated with a touch of elegance and femininity.
Because of my hair, coordinating myself in monochromatic colors is really captivating me. It was really natural to select black items to finish the look - my all-time favorite brimmed hat and these new sunnies (only $3.05! Can you believe it?!) from NewDress. This look wasn't for a festive theme or anything, but the combination of a faux suede fringe bag and this lace off-shoulder dress is definitely perfect for that occasion! Maybe I can wear it next year?!

Hope that you all have a fun & amazing Labor Day weekend! I am planning on seeing my girl friends from LA, I am so excited! Make sure to follow me along on Instagram & Snapchat (@fashionistaika)!!!

Ciao, cutie pies! ♥

Hi LOVEs! How's your week been so far? I hope it's been a wonderful and productive one!

Today's post is all about BLACK (and edgy)!!!!! Ever since I finally turned into a "little mermaid" thanks to the talented Miguel at

Foxy Cut

, I've been so into a minimal, classic, monotone colored pieces. When I went to Portland a few weeks ago, of course I had to take advantage of "no-tax" shopping. Then, I snuggled this super soft

ribbed knit midi number at

Forever 21

! It's a little challenging to rock the dress with this length for a petite girl like myself, but its comfiness totally got me buying this number. It's literally like a pajama! haha

I loooove #allblackeveything and #whiteout themed looks especially during the summer just because I don't have to use a lot of brain power to think of what to wear in hot HOT weather! So I decided to style the look centered on the dress with black items: black strappy sandals, and a black mini bag. Yet, I spiced it up by adding a

purple lipstick

( a killer match for my hair, right?!) and

these awesome mirrored sunnies from

Polette

, which is a must item for summer! Needless to say, my hair is doing a freaking great job at adding a perfect spice on the look!

How do you like wearing all black during the summer? Yay or Nay?

Hang in there, babes! It's almost Friday!!!!

Hi LOVEs! Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Today's look is all about layering and edginess, and this is definitely one of my favorite ensembles in all-black with a touch of color. People tend to wear dark colors during winter, and so do I. However, I love playing with some hues and making the look both edgy and fun. That way, I don't feel dull and sad. This is especially when you live in a gloomy and rainy city like I do!

I'd been on the look-out for a chunky v-neck pastel sweater for the longest time, and I finally found it on sale at

ZARA

a while ago. I normally wear  a small size, but decided to go with one size up for an extra bulky silhouette. At the same time, I scored this

light maxi wrap skirt on sale

as well. It's impressive that I can rotate the slit to whatever position I want to! I can put it on the side, front, or back. I adore the combination of an oversized knit with a maxi skirt. Since I had scored the perfect pieces, I figured I should try it on right away, yet it's way too cold right now to wear the skirt by itself, so I paired it with leggings underneath. I love the contrast of their different textures. Whenever I wear a maxi skirt/dress, I always style it with a pair of platform shoes to add some extra height. I picked my all time favorite booties for the added slimming effect.

You can never go wrong with a

biker jacket

to create an edgy vibe. And if you have a printed black and white scarf, that's even better to emphasize the vibe. These items aldo help you beat the cold. To complete this edgy look,  I opted for a

dark red lip stick

, and of course my awesome hair is doing such an awesome job!

Hi LOVEs! Happy Monday!
I hope your new week is going to be fabulous! Can you believe that the first month of 2015 will have passed us by already in a few more days? I definitely can't believe it!

A few weeks ago it was my pleasure to work with a very talented local photographer, Mike. He was a suggested user on Instagram and I've been enjoying his work for a long time. It was first our time shooting in almost 4+ years. We had been s et up this photoshoot for the longest time until recently, so I'm glad we finally did and I am really excited to share the results! Here is the first set!

Since I've got this awesome silver/blond hair, I really wanted to showcase it as an integral part of my outfit on the first set. Well..... he totally killed it! I am just so overjoyed with how the color is changing every day and the hair looks totally different depending on the weather. If you follow me on my Insta (@AikasLoveCloset), you know that I snagged this lovely killer fur coat on sale at ZARA. I believe investing a little extra money on a coat is always the right choice during this the cold season, since it becomes the major piece of the whole look. I mean, if you have to wear a coat to keep warm, then be sure to make a statement, too!
Even though a lot of people (including myself ) are looking forward to the warmer weather, the reality is that the temperatures will stay low for a while. Thanks to this cute coat, I don't have to endure cold temperatures  anymore. It does a great job at keeping out the cold air, so lately I rather enjoy dressing up on chilly days! I adore its pale pink hue, fluffy textures and volume around the sleeves. There are lots of fun elements in this one coat, and it makes me want to go out with it every day, all day! I can't get enough of how the coat really goes with my hair, either.

To highlight the coat and hair even more, I went for an all-black color scheme underneath. I just simply styled it with my old body-hugging V-neck top and black skinny jeans. Then, I topped it off with my favorite platform boots. I put on some pale  pink lipstick to keep an "ICY" vibe as my finishing touch.

How did you like this set? Stay tuned for another one in chic city-oriented look!
Have a lovely day dolls!

Hi LOVEs! Happy Monday :) Did you have a wonderful weekend?
In my previous post, I gave a teaser of another outfit by Wang, and here is the look that I styled up with #AlexanderWangxH&M pieces! I love this all black ensemble as much as the other AW white look. I am seriously obsessed with this oversized t-shirt because it's super comfy and soft while staying edgy, and I am literary wearing it right now as room wear! I've also worn this as a top with a pair of jeans or leggings and booties for an easy-going and laid-back style. Even though I brought a size small, the length is a bit long for a girl whose height is 5 feet, so I had to adjust it by tucking the waist part into a skirt I wore underneath. I could alternatively make a knot as another styling option.

It's been awfully cold in Seattle lately, and there is no way I would wear this t-shirt without layering up. Luckily I have a peplum top with sheer sleeves, and it was a perfect match for the t-shirt. Then, I wore these killer over-the-knee boots (similar here or here) to keep my feet warm! Adding a fur clutch or bag is one of the absolutely chic ways to elevate any look for fall and winter. Moreover, it instantly gives a look "bundled-up" vibe.
These WANG sunglasses actually came with two removable straps printed 'WANG' in black and white. I thought I should try them with the strap and kind of liked it, especially in this look. It empathizes the street and sporty feel, which is why I added a baseball cap instead of a beanie.

Which look is your favorite, WHITE WANG or BLACK WANG?
Here's wishing you a fabulous kick off to the new week, dolls!

Hi LOVEs! Happy Monday!

How was your weekend? Did you have a good one? I actually had a lot of fun things going on for  my weekend! I kicked off the weekend on Saturday by attending my first blogger brunch event at MOTIF in Downtown, I met and connected with several lovely fellow local bloggers, and went home with a super sweet swag bag filled with an ELLE magazine, beauty goodies and testers, and a flawless snakeskin printed clutch bag!! I spent my Sunday with my bestie getting some yummy sushi, doing a little shopping Downtown, and we ended our day enjoying some FroYo! He's been like my brother ever since I first came here to attend school. It is always so refreshing to catch up with old friends who feel like family. It is especially important to me since my own family and good friends are far away (in Japan), so this time spent together was more than simply an enjoyable time! It was crazy busy last week, so I was so happy to recharge and prepare for another busy week! (I hope it won't be as busy as last week, though!)

As much as I am a huge lover of hats and shoes, I am a big collector of scarves! When we welcome fall and winter, it's so crucial to be able to dress cozy while remaining stylish! Scarves are one of the key essentials to help you easily achieve that goal. Sometimes they even turn out to be a statement piece for your outfit! There are tons of options in varying colors, designs, and fabrics! One day I would love to go shopping just to find a few perfect scarves for the season! It would be so much fun!

I think a lot of people tend to go for darker colors as the temperature is dropping, and so do I! But dark colors can be subdued and muted, so I always find myself adding sass with a bit of color! After I dressed in some of my favorite black pieces from my closet, I complimented the look by adding a plaid scarf for a pop of color and playfulness! I really love how the scarf is so versatile in styling and how each one looks slightly different from another. You might be seeing a lot more of me rocking all-black ensembles with different types of scarves! haha

I hope you like today's look!!!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hi LOVEs!
So...today is actually the official day of fall!!!! Whoo hoo! Are you guys all excited? It's time for a lot of layers and Spice Pumpkin Latte and Salted Caramel Mocha! (My favorite coffee for the season!) Oh and you can't forget about hats, too! Well... at least to me!
I can't believe that we only have few more months left this year, I feel like I just celebrated 2014 a couple of months ago. Time definitely flies, but let's enjoy each moment of your life with smiles <3

Today's look is something that I've always wanted to try for a long time, but it seemed to never happen till now!
Yes, ALL BLACK ensemble!
Since Fashion Week is still going on, and that keeps me so excited thinking of what I would want to wear even though I obviously can't go. Then, this looks was came up in mind as I was looking through for some inspirations, and I love it so much!
You know, I am more of a color-lover, but an all black ensemble never lets you look unstylish and adds a lot of sophistication and edginess. On top of that, I RARELY wear flats, so another new thing here is 'how to rock in them.' To achieve that, I tried to draw attention away from my short legs by wearing a hat and a cropped top and showing off a bit of my stomach. Also wearing all black or same hues helps to create "I line" silhouette to look slimmer and elongate your leg lines. A pop of color is always a great addition to compliment your look. I decided to pair it with this gorgeous statement drop earrings (They are really heavy by the way, but that's not discouraging me to wear them at all!) and my current favorite fall red lips, SANDRA from NARS Audacious Lipstick collection.

I hope I can try all black attires again this fall and winter because it's just really fun to put together! How would you rock the outfit?

On my personal note, I am going to Robert Leonard Salon & Spa this afternoon to get my hair done and also to try out other severs they offer! I am sooooo thrilled for the new change of myself, just in time for the season change! In case you wonder, please follow me on Instagram to see what will happen there!

Have a lovely day, sweeties

Hi LOVEs!!!
Today I am featuring a look with a little different feeling than usual. Perhaps you may recall and ensemble I posted a while ago, wearing this same black asymmetrical dress courtesy of Charlotte Russe. (Unfortunately it's no longer available because their inventory goes so fast!) And I mentioned in the post that I decided to use this dress in two separate looks: one for day and one for night!
Here comes the night look!!!

Unlike the daytime office-inspired look, this asymmetrical dress has been transformed into the perfect night look. It's great to own a dress that is so versatile for different occasions. What I did to create the night look was very simple: I took the jacket and the necklace off because the dress has such beautiful details around the neckline, both front and back. I switched from white heels to a pair of black strap heels to achieve a slimming effect. I also added a wide rhinestone bracelet and a flower hair clip so that I could give it a summer touch. A tropical printed clutch compliments the night look playfully, and I appreciate the pop of emerald green!

I am so grateful that my photographer suggested waiting for a few hours in order for us to capture the sunset and use it as an amazing backdrop. As you can see... It was totally worth it! I'd never done a shoot at sunset, and I was really happy with how the pictures turned out. I seriously love how the shades of stunning twilight make the pictures so perfect and romantic. By the way, I think I am quite confident that I can now manage to model even in freezing weather because these were taken back in the middle of April! lol I am so glad that actual summer is approaching -- no more freezing during the photoshoot! :)

I hope you enjoy the night look! Which looks do you prefer, day or night?
A few more days till the weekend! Hang in there babes!

Hi LOVEs! and.....

♥♥♥ HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

♥♥♥

I had hoped to post this look the day before Valentine's as my second V-day inspired outfit but was unable to because I left sick yestrday and had to spend time in bed to get some rest! But heyyy --- what is a better Valentine's present than a good outfit, huh?  Here you go! :)

This photoshoot was one of the best ones I've ever had! Not just because I really love the outfit, but also because I can't get enough of my new hair and color! And I am overjoyed with how beautifully my photographer friend, Eric, captured me through his lens... This series offers more head shots than usual... I just couldn't choose which one was the best! :P

Even though I can't share today with my valentine, this outfit is definitely the one I would wear to celebrate my day. While the first look highlights the color red and showcases cuteness and femininity for a younger woman, this outfit focuses on elegance and the seductive nature of a mature woman. That's why I styled it up with all-black to elevate the polished and chic touch, including the outerwear and the bag. Just a little note, the black fur coat is really a go-to item that you shouldn't miss this winter season. It keeps you bundled up for sure, and you can't go wrong wearing it with any style... I am so glad to have snagged this one when it was on sale for  ~$10 at

H&M

! Score!

I'd been looking for a skirt with some flares for a long time and finally found

the perfect one at

H&M

. Thanks to the ruffle hems, it gives a nice amount of charm to the look. How can I not love the skirt? Simple but elegant! I love the skirt so much!

Of course, I wanted to add some characteristic colors and items from Valentine's Day. So I topped it off with the

ASOS

heart print tights and

UrbanOG

pretty pink wedge heels. Oh, and don't forget to complement the look with gold accessories and a hint of red lips!

Wishing you all a very lovely and sweet Valentine's Day! Happy a day of love!!!

Kisses and Hugs xoxo

It's been forever since I last wore an ALL BLACK outfit, but it always ends up with me loving it so much! If you follow me on my Instagram, you may have noticed that lately I am super obsessed with pencil skirts, so I bought this patent-front slip pencil skirt from ASOS a week ago or so. My size was sold out but I got it anyway... And I am soooo in love with it, and I managed to wear it even though it's a bit big on me!! <3

When I tried the skirt on, immediately the idea of this outfit came to mind.
Since the skirt brand is River Island, I styled it up with a River Island crop top as well. Then, I mixed it in gold accessories because the combination of black and gold is always a perfect match. I intentionally paired my necklace with my pumps because they both have cool leopard details! It's hard to see, but the watch has leopard details, too!

Recently Seattle's weather has changed into chilly fall weather, so I layered the outfit with this AWESOME galaxy bomber jacket I picked up from H&M last year. This jacket can make a statement all by itself, and I like how it adds some pizazz to the ensemble.

Although it is not like summer anymore, I always love having sunglasses in my purse. Putting on a pair of sunglasses is akin to wearing earrings and necklaces; I feel like it completes the outfit by adding them. So whenever I happen upon some awesome sunglasses that really catch my eye, I can't resist buying them. These round glasses from ALDO are one of my current favorites!!!

Also, perhaps you've noticed this cute mini cross-body bag on womens' arms around town? It's from "3.1 phillip Lim for Target" collection! I was super lucky to get this because it was the last one when I bought it! I am really glad to have it now because it can adapt to any kind of style! Come to think of it, I've been using this bag several days in a row now! haha  What piece did you guys get from the collection?

Hope you like/love today's look and consider it as a suggestion of how you can style up a pencil skirt! <3

Hello lovely readers~!!!!!
Can you believe it's been almost two months since the last post?!
I am very sorry for not being able to update my blog till now. Life has been hella busy. As time goes on life seems tougher and more unforgiving, especially if you live in a different country. But I am keeping my spirits up and I really hope things will be improving as much as I anticipate! But that is a story for another time...
Hopefully you've been doing well, and now you can look forward to reading my posts more often!!!

My life is all about fashion, and I've decided to follow my dream in America no matter what happens. So no more excuses! I will definitely push myself harder to keep updating my blog more often so that I can share my styles with other people all over the world!!!!!
WISH ME LUCK!!!!

Now that we are talking about fashion these photos were actually taken a few months ago, and I should clarify that  this really isn't for a spring look. Still, I really love this look and the photos came out just how I wanted them to, so even if they are a little out of season I really wanted to share them. More recently, Seattle's weather has been quite pleasant, and I am really happy about it. Of course, I took advantage of the bright weather to shoot some nice spring shots of my outfits so stay tunes!!

This look is one of my favorite all-black outfits, although I am more of a person who really adores colors no matter what season it is. I really love how the long cardi and the biker jacket actually rock well together. I had never tried to combine those two items so I was very surprised at how it turned out. Like I said, I love colors so I added a splash of color to this look. The Jeffrey Campbell Spike Litas did a great job for adding edgy taste to the look. To top if off, my Rolling Stones mesh cap is definitely the eye-catchy item of this look!

Hope you liked my all black look!

P.S. I chopped my hair so I don't have my lovely purple ombre hair anymore, yet I will soon change my hair color! I am super duper thrilled with my new hairrrrrr!
