Hi LOVEs!
If you know me well enough, you know I love playing around with prints and bright colors. However, ever since this season's trends have been revealed, I have recognized that impact of simple and basic items. I just can't stop incorporating them into my daily looks. Today's look is absolutely one of my favorites!

By the way, what are your favorite trends this fall and winter? Of all the hot trends right now, I am obsessed with the pastel and retro feeling from the 60's, and I can't get enough of that 90's classic style. So I decided to combine both in this outfit, and it totally worked out! I recently got this cropped turtleneck sweater from H&M, and it's just so perfect to pull off the 90's vibe instantly. The item has become a staple piece in my wardrobe now. I am literally wearing it right now even as I am writing this!
I paired it with my vintage high-waisted shorts and two new items from Ami Clubwear: yellow pointy toe pumps and a lavender tote mini bag. I love how they give the outfit a 60's vibe, so to emphasize it further I added a pair of ankle socks. The temperature is dropping now, and wearing pumps with bear feet give me a chill. Yet, wearing tights would be too hot and dull during the day. That's why adding a pair of socks is season appropriate and gives you a touch of chicness. Even it helps to upgrade your fall look.

You may have noticed a little change in my hair, huh? Yes, I spontaneously chopped off my hair!!! Haha. Just kidding, instead I found a super easy way to style a bob hair style without cutting off your beautiful hair! Just wear a turtleneck (It's super trendy and snuggling!), and don't pull your hair out from the collar! It doesn't sound like it would work out, so I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it! I really like easy hairstyles that produce a wow factor.

Have a lovely day, cuties!

This set was shot a while ago, but I didn't have a chance to share. I was asked to model for a school project of my photographer friend Merissa. The main purpose was to create an editorial photoshoot with a concept emphasizing dark theme and lots of action. We went with dark make up with red lips and wearing heels to create a sense of being "tall and powerful".
We shot a couple of outfits, and this is the first set of them. Although it was my first time working with her, I super-enjoyed her photographing me -- an amazing photographer, I have to say!

My styling for the first outfit is to achieve the combination of past, modern and future.  The checkerboard dress emphasizes the 60's vibe and is paired with knee high socks and platform heels to embrace the modern. I finalized this look with hair ponytailed on the top hanging down over my face which worked well as I focused on posing. As she pressed the shutter, I tried to embody a sense action and movement, bringing in some unnatural, awkward poses to give a surreal, modern tension.

I hope you enjoyed the first editorial photos and stay tuned for the others which are totally different  and just as exciting!

Have a nice day ;)
