How to Stay Chic & Cute while Getting Cozy + 10 Blush Sweaters Under $100

Being chic and cute while cozying up is quite tricky. So here the tips for nailing a cozy-chic aesthetic look for those who are still battling the frosty weather.

Keep Cozy in Leopard & Fringe

I love mixing the old with the new. Can you believe this is my first time wearing this awesome leopard coat this season?! I guess that's what happens when you have too many coats too choose from!

An Oldie, But A Goodie

I've had this blazer for almost 4 years, and this is the first time I have worn it in all that time.

Hi LOVEs! How was your weekend?

I

previously shared a look

with this

black romper

and I promised that I would post another look demonstrating how you can transition a summer staple piece into a fall-appropriate look. So here you go!

As you can see, the leaves are turing into brilliant reds and oranges, the wind is getting chilly, and everywhere you look there is "pumpkin spice." The change of the season means also a time for reorganizing the wardrobe. I love how my mind also feels cleared out after getting rid of unused items, while welcoming new seasonal clothes to my closet. In my closet clean-up, there are A L W A Y S pieces that I can't get rid of even if I am sure that I won't be wearing them as often. This salmon pink oversized blazer is actually one of them.

I am so pleased that I've kept it for a long time because it actually goes so well with the romper. The blazer also makes the romper wearable during the fall season. I don't know if the color is trendy enough, yet it gives a nice touch of playfulness into the look.

In addition to this blazer, these

leopard booties

are also a few years old. I don't think I can say BYE to them until I find a better pair. You know, leopard prints are always a great choice to add a little pop to any outfit!

Do you have anything that you have kept in your closet for a long time, but you find it's actually still working after all the years?

Sending a wish for a great start to the new week!!

Hi LOVEs!!!!
I apologize that I haven't posted anything for a week... Last week was pretty crazy, and I am so glad this week seems less busy!
I am kind of surprised that I really didn't have a chance to share a look with rompers till now, and you know they are such a perfect alternative piece to a dress and easy-to-wear. Especially the one I am wearing today is super sleek and could be wearable to work with an oversized jacket or blazer! Mine is from StyleMoi - one of my favorite online shopping destination for tons of affordable yet stylish clothing. I really love the cutout and ruffle details on the shoulder, and this romper has actually a lovely looking from the back as well!
To me, rompers are meant to wear during spring and summer because of the light textures, but in fact you can still rock them in the early fall by mixing them up with some fall essentials, like chunky cardigans, boots/booties, hats, and cardigans!
I decided to go for a pair of leopard booties for a pop of prints and then topped it off in a baker boy hat. I styled my hair in a low messy bun to highlight the shoulder details. I adore this hair style so much because it creates an effortless and chic vibe. I bet this will be my go-to fall hairstyle!
I actually wore this playsuit with a boyfriend blazer, but first I wanted to show you guys how cute this romper is without anything over it! I can't wait to show you the look soon because it's more fall appropriate!!

Have a lovely Tuesday, my dolls! ♥

Hi LOVEs!!! Happy Friday!

You know what's coming up next month!? YESSS!!!

FASHION WEEK

!!! Unfortunately, once again I won't be able to attend in person due to crazy busy schedule, but it doesn't mean I can't dress up as if I were there, right? When Fashion Week approaches, I naturally get inspired. I start gathering outfit inspirations from everywhere and come up with some outfits that I would definitely rock if I was to attend!! The camel coat is enjoying a major moment right now. It adds you an instant chicness to any outfit, and it's really a versatile item thanks to its neutral color. I have seen a lot of bloggers, like

Song of Style

and

Kayture

, are rocking it and can't get enough of how they style their coats!! I was totally convinced to invest a little money in this

cozy camel coat from

ASOS

. To be honest with you, it's a bit bigger on me even though it was the smallest size, but I can surely live with it! Wink-wink!

So I styled up this look around the coat as the centerpiece and added a neutral colored turtleneck and white skort. I picked leopard printed booties for a bit of something extra since I otherwise the look is kept simple. Leopard shoes will never go out of style. When I was coordinating this look, I decided I would put on a fedora for a touch of sophistication. I am a huge, like HUGE, fan of the fedora, and this pink one is one of the unexpected pieces I never thought I would have in my closet. Pink is often passed off as simply a girly color, but in reality pink has the ability to create the just right amount of  girly-cool vibe while maintaining your feminine charm. So it was perfect to incorporate my pink fedora to this camel coat look. What's the best thing about this fedora? It looks super cute on my new silver hair! <3 <3 Finally, I love how my vintage shoulder bag/clutch compliments the look from the side angle with the leopard booties.

Are you planning to go to Fashion Week? What's your attire?

Have a great weekend babes!

Hi LOVEs!!

Can you believe that we are already celebrating New Years Eve tomorrow!?!? I definitely can't believe it, but I am really excited and ready for the new year! What are you planning on wearing tomorrow for New Year's Eve?

I shared a girly and sparkling party look in

 my last post

, and I hope you liked how I styled the dress with a fur vest! Here is my second party look with

Tobi

again, and you can see that it is much more elegant with plenty of sex appeal!

I am so happy to have this

super lovely LBD

from

Tobi

, and this might just be the perfect dress for NYE! This is certainly one of the best LBDs in my closet, to be honest with you. Since I have small breasts, I usually feel uncomfortable wearing a strapless dress, but I chose this one because it has little cute off-sleeve cuffs that help draw your gaze away from my chest area. At the same time, they provide added support to keep my top in place, even when dancing! These sleeves make this dress even more appealing and alluring.  I love how the dress looks from the back, too.  It is a low & open cut, yet it does not give too much away. I just can't get enough of this dress!

I decided to pair this dress with my favorite black platform pumps that have gold and leopard print details. Whenever I wear a dress, I tend to wear platform heels to balance out my height, since I have a long torso with short legs. The reason I chose this pair of pumps is that I could match them with my gold accessories and

leopard coat

 that I recently scored at

Forever 21

.  Even though you will take your coat off at a party, you want to keep that wow factor even when you are headed to the party, don't you? Well I do! So it's great to throw on a statement coat over your lovely party dress. That way you can definitely provide double WOWs!! This leopard coat is super duper cozy and its plush texture is beyond amazing!

I tried not to over-accessorize; I just added a statement pearl chocker necklace that I got from my friend as a birthday gift, along with

simple hoop earrings

,

one bracelet

, and a gold clutch from my mom to store my belongings. For my hair, I did a messy up-do with curled one-side bang, which is my go-to party hairstyle. And of course,

bold lipstick

always provides the perfect finishing touch!

I hope you love/like my NYE look, and hopefully you got some inspiration on what to wear tomorrow!!

By the way, if you follow me on

Instagram

, you probably know already that I dyed my hair in

S I L V E R

!!!!!! Yes, Asian Frozen! Finally one of my dreams came true right before 2014 ends! I'd wanted to try this color for 8 years, so you have no idea how thrilled I have been to have this hair! I still can't get used to it, though. haha...

I am really excited to show you my new hair color here on ALC with my winter outfits! Look forward to it!!!!!!

Have a great last Tuesday of the year!♥

Hi LOVEs!!!
This is another set of photoshooting I did with Enrique, a Cali photographer, back in August. In the previous post, I shared with you the first one wearing my favorite leopard slip dress from Forever 21. I hope you enjoyed it!  I was very fascinated with how versatile this dress actually is, and I am so excited to show you the completely different way of its styling today!

First of all, I really love this night time setting that can totally go with the vibe this look creates. Edginess, secret, dark side, and wildness. I believe there is more than that. I always love photoshooting at night especially when I am wearing something more of edgy and grunge just because it emphasizes the look. I am very pleased we ended up shooting this look when the sun went down.

I'd been looking for a perfect leopard top for years and didn't realize until now that I didn't need to own an actual top if there is an alternative piece. Save less, style more! To my surprise, the slip dress is successfully turned into a leopard flawless top, and it doesn't look awkward at all.  Even though this ensemble seems very appropriate for summer, it still be wearable for fall when you switch to a chunky knit cardigan and a pair of fall boots, or even adding other fall items such as a scarf.
But this time, I styled it up with staple leather pieces which are always sublime to instantly create an edgier look and with my favorite fall essential, a felt fedora.
Can I talk about a bit of that? If you love a fedora as much as I do, I recommend the way I styled my hair. It's super easy yet tasteful. First, slightly curl your hair including your side bang. Second, make a lower pony tail covering the hair tie with a smattering of the hair around it. Finally, put your favorite fedora on and adjust the pony tail if needed. Very easy, isn't it?

I hope you enjoy all three looks I created with this lovely yet versatile leopard slip dress, and tell me which one you like the most on the comment below!
Enjoy your weekend, beauties!

Hi LOVEs!
I am pretty sure you guys are all so ready for colder weather to layer up by now and so am I of course!!!! I actually started gathering a lot of fall inspirations on my Pinterest and am indulging myself in thinking about what outfits I will be sporting this autumn. However, it's okay to miss the feeling of summer and the fresh cool breeze that my skin enjoys now and then, right? So here you go!
I finally am able to share with you guys one of my favorite end-of-summer photoshoots that I did with a Cali photographer, Enrique. Back in August, he came to visit Seattle for his project and he was looking for someone he could work with during his stay. I am always very thrilled to work with new talented people, so it was a delight to meet him and shoot!
To be honest with you, the photoshoot was by far the quickest one I've ever done. I was quite worried about how the photos would come out, but now the worry is replaced with satisfaction! We shot two outfits, and this one is the first look.

I got this slip dress from Forever 21, and I fell in love with it at first sight. It's effortlessly chic and soft yet sexy. Plus, it's thankfully wallet-friendly! I was really into spaghetti strap/slip dresses all during the summer. The lace-trimmed hem and openly back neckline design on this dress are what I am most fond of, and that what this dress makes so seductive. There are so many ways you can enjoy this dress. Even in fall, you can still wear it with a turtle neck top underneath, a cardigan and tights combination, or a chunky knit over it just like one of the variations I showcase in this post.

I wanted the look to be kind of a laid-back end-of-summer style, so I simply threw on a loose knit over the dress and slipped in my favorite platform sandals, finishing things off with some killer gold jewelry. It was literally a 5-minute look! As I was trying this dress in the fitting room, I figured out that this dress could also be worn as a top like a perfect leopard cami. Then, when I got home, I totally worked it out! So in an coming up post, I will share a look highlighting this dress again, but show it to you as an awesome stylish leopard cami top! Looking forward to it!

Have a lovely day, cuties

Hi LOVEs!

Now, I have to admit that I have become completely obsessed with all-white looks more than EVER. If you have been following me here or on my

Insta

, you know what I am talking about.

I really love its crispness and sleekness, and you can never go wrong with a white ensemble. Although the color is not as bright and strong as bold colors like red or orange, it's still dramatic enough to catch your eyes. So I was very pleased when I found these perfect

ripped white jeans

I had been looking for like decades at

TOPSHOP

. I actually DIYed them to make the holes in the knees bigger, I added additional ripped parts on the left thigh, and chopped the hems off to make them into ankle-gazing crops. The 60's vibe is one of the hot trends right now and yes, I am intrigued by it a bunch. This pair of jeans can instantly and effortlessly help achieve that, and they are even better when pairing with a half turtle neck crop top or chunky knit sweater.

In addition to these awesome white jeans, my smile is even bigger with my new

leopard print fuzzy cardigan

also from

TOPSHOP

. The texture is just mind-blowing!!!! I am literally able to wear it all day long, and even go to sleep in it! The leopard big print is super playful. Who in the world doesn't like such a fun print? I am so happy about how cozy and warm it is! This one will surely be in my clothing rotation item for a while!

I styled up these recent lovely finds with an oversized tee knotted around my waist and a pair of white pumps with an interesting back design, to keep the white palette going. The playful cardigan kind of fired me up to add another playful piece, which is this killer hologram mini bag. When it comes to fall makeup, it's all about sporting dark colors. So I love the combination of dark purple eyeshadow and dark hued lipstick like how I am wearing today's post.  What's your favorite fall makeup?

Hopefully you are having an amazing Friday! TGIF lovelies ♥

Hi LOVEs!
After I shaved the side of my hair (which has been a liberating fashion adventure for me!! ), I've shown a tendency to wear more 'cool' and 'edgy' clothes that complement my hair style. But when I came across this so girly-inspired quilted skirt at Forever 21, my inner feminine spirit just had to be appeased, and I bought it without hesitation. Since I went with the skirt, then how about a nice sweater? This one from NOWiSTYLE is just right, since fuzzy knits are very on right now. They are so cozy and warm. But most importantly, they are strikingly eye-catching! And this white sweet knit with its super lovely details around the shoulder is such an irresistible piece. While it keeps you warm, that details add a touch of sex appeal without having to actually cover your neck during the frigid weather!!!

To elevate the girly vibe, I paired these burgundy velvet knee-high boots to the skirt's red rose prints, which really ties the look together. These boots actually could be worn in another way by folding the top hems. However, for this look the folded hem just didn't work, so I went with the straight boots and for a touch of cuteness I did DIY which I added the little lace-up details on the back. I am truly glad with the result because they look cuter from both front and back!

I believe that this outfit is adequately cute without a coat. But if you need a coat, I also am very fond of this leopard coat and fur collar scarf. Red (boots) and leopard prints are definitely one of my favorite combos. The Rebecca Minkoff Tote Mini is a simple but wonderful accessory, especially the way I slung it across my body, for a sophisticated finish.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day

Hi LOVES!!!! Happy Monday & Happy Holidays!

Hope you have memory-making plans this week to cerebrate the holidays!!

A favorite color of mine throughout my entire life has no-doubt been RED! My name 'AIKA' means "The Sweet Scent of Affection" in Japanese, and red is always a representative color of "LOVE." I enjoy giving love to people, and this world needs a lot of love! I love my name and really appreciate my parents putting together such a sweet sentiment for my name!

Naturally, whenever I wear red, I feel better and it brightens up my day! I think the colors that are associated with being a "women" or "girl" can help to bring out the inner feminine spirit in you.  I am very thankful to the

Now I Style

team that I am currently working with, as they sent me this lovely and cute

over-sized jumper

. I adore it so much! The fit is a bit big for me, but I take advantage of it to wear it loosely. It makes such a statement piece for fall and winter thanks to its vivid color while remaining warm and cozy!

This look could definitely become a perfect holiday outfit, I believe. Since white is another great color for the holidays, I decided to add a lace bodycon skirt underneath.  I accessorized with pearl and gold jewelry to gram things up. I ultimately chose these amazing leopard booties, and they absolutely are great accents to complete the whole ensemble.

When it came to style up my hair, I wanted to achieve a dramatic hairstyle without sacrificing beauty.

Oh my gosh... I really cannot get enough of this hairstyle! I am quite pleased with how my purple hair gives an extra chic touch to the outfit. Here is how to create this hairstyle:

1. I styled a bigger-than-normal pompadour slightly to the side.

2. Curled my hair, back-combed/teased the curled hair to add more volume.

Got it? I love this effortless yet fabulous hair!!!

Now I am ready for the holidays with this outfit... <3

Maybe you will see me out on the town making all the guys look my way as I toss my hair as I walk on by!

What is your go-to outfit for the holidays??

Helllllllllo my lovely readers!
Tomorrow is Valentine's Day!!!!!! Have you decided what you are gonna wear on your special day? :)

Yesterday I gave you an idea for a V-day look (you can click HERE to check out the outfit!) and as promised, here is another V-day inspired look.

To start with, can I tell you something first?
I JUST LOVE THIS LOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would pick this look as my Valentine's Day outfit over the first one, even though I love them both!

I really love how the leopard coat gives this outfit a sweet and soft feeling, and then once I take off the coat, the look amazingly adopts an edgy and sophisticated feel. Since I am so in love with RED as color, I have many pairs of RED shoes and was having a hard time choosing the best shoes to complement this look. And guess what? I have to say that the choice of these stunning wedges from EMODA (a Japanese Brand) was completely right-on. On top of that, you have no idea how crazy I am for HATS!!!!! Especially during the winter time, my outfits aren't complete without a hat. So I styled it up with this burgundy hat as usual to add some more Valentine's feeling. I also love how these red shoes perfectly match with my red lips!!!!

Sooooo how did you like both of my Valentine's Day inspired look? Yay or Nay?
Hopefully I gave you some ideas through both of these looks and I wish you a wonderful and lovely Valentine's Day!!!!!!!
